I'm such a tard I saw this video in my feed earlier and thought huh, that's a pretty clever name for a Mastadon cover band.... and they kinda look like them too except the guy playing Bill is too skinny.... meh, they probably suck.

Seeing this reminds me of the first time I ever saw this band live. I believe it was Hattiesburg, MS at the Thirsty Hippo in 2002. They packed out the bar to capacity with a couple hundred people probably there. There was like another hundred people outside wishing they could get in... Closed the show with their cover of Thin Lizzy's Emerald. I bought a special 2 CD edition of their Remission album from the merch guy.

@@Placesandthingsonvacation Glad to hear that man! After re-reading my comment, it may have been 2003. Can't remember exactly. I know they would soon have their "March of the Fire Ants" music video on the MTV metal shows after this and really blew up in popularity. The next time I saw them a year or two later would be at the House of Blues in New Orleans (obviously a much bigger show). Pretty sure I've seen them live 4 times although the most recent time was a decade ago.

Back in the mid 90's Brann and Bill were from the next town over from me and had a band called Lethargy. I used to play in bands and go to shows and I saw them around a couple times. They were one of the first bands doing the super crazy technical mathy stuff and just blowing people's minds. Seeing them in a setting like this with a drop ceiling a couple feet above them brings back memories!
