A difficult brain teaser to figure out how to rescue Luke from the flames, but one I look back fondly on. Much better than another sliding block puzzle amiright?

Hi hi! Loved this concept and it was very well put together! Just from one editor to another, I have a few tips: - Disable resample before editing any big source video; it prevents any frame overlap or crossfading that makes manual frame placement more difficult - Following on from that, having a snap-frame option and/or manual markers helps to prevent having the dreaded one-frame overlaps between visual changes (i.e: Layton's hat floating in midair for one frame) - For background masking details, I recommend making multiple layers rather than just one, especially if characters are moving back and forth between objects or scenes. More often than not, this saves time because you can reuse independent layers in later shots, perhaps by mirroring/flipping/resizing a mask Don't let these tips be seen as anything other than constructive criticism; seeing the effort and timing that went into this project completely frame-by-frame is nothing to be ashamed of, and it was still a visual delight. Keep up the great work!

Thanks for the comment dude. To be completely honest, I'm a little annoyed with the outcome of this one. I did split up each individual scene with markers to get the hat/hair correct, and disabling resample is a default setting for all my projects. I imagine that I just exported at the wrong frame rate, but as it took about 40 mins to export, I just uploaded anyway. Usually I'd have re-rendered, but as it was about 4am and I had to be up early on Sunday, I didn't have the time. All this was done in Vegas as its the software I know most, but I'm trying to be more efficient by editing with AfterEffects too. Really need to speed up my editing process to get more things out faster.

@@DearestHershel Hi hi, it’s cool. As a Vegas user myself I can relate; this was not meant as a caustic criticism in any way, and I fully empathise with the desire for rapid turnaround times. It’s good to know you’re adept and aware of what you’re doing, love the work and looking forward to more when the opportunities present themselves!

Lol, aren't those the locations from the dialect analysis video? Luton and Harlington. That being said, Luton is technically East Bedfordshire, so inspector Chelmy should know that those Central Bedfordshireans speak a completely different language from the East Bedfordshireans

I recorded the lines myself in the best accents I could do for each character, and then replaced my voice with theirs.
