Hold the bottom right menu button to switch to mouse controls, controls much like steam decks mouse configuration once you enable it. Just hold it again to switch back to controller mode.

Devs are aware of "Turn Of Screen" mode problem. I reported it. Suddly it is Fedora problem on which Bazzite is made of so we have to wait for updates which will repair this problem.

I hope they will fix it soon:)

You can change the menu scaling on bazzite, either just connect an external display and change it, or jump through some hoops using dev mode to do it. When you max scale the menus it doesnt matter if its a 1080p screen it displays as large as the sd screen at 800p

The Steam OS has the button in white because it's using the SD controls as default. The buttons are white, so are the ones in the OS. When you use a controller, they also change to the X360 colors like Bazzite.

I like the steam deck, but the Asus screen is really impressive for an LCD and I prefer it overall. Really hope the Steam Deck 2 has an updated LCD option.
@TrueEasyTech2 ай бұрын
Unfortunately, I don’t think there will ever be one more LCD screen Steam Deck. Most likely, Valve will make a 900p HDR OLED to keep the price as low as it is now. Also, Valve is focused on bringing SteamOS to other platforms, and in this case, we won’t see the next Steam Deck for many more years.

@@TrueEasyTech if they stick with OLED as the only option then I'll pass. PWM flicker is incredibly irritating and I prefer to have zero risk of burn in.

@TrueEasyTech I feel like any steam deck successor we get would basically be forced into a 1080p machine, and would still be affordable, as it'll probably be atleast another years, maybe two until that happens, which would be plenty of time for prices to drop on some current high powered apus, and maybe even get in an affordable range of the ones about to come out. They do such a great job making the deck and ally user serviceable, but It would be a great idea in my opinion if they found a way to make the apu swappable. Think of how great it would be to buy a rig, and decide what type of mobo, apu, wifi module, speakers, wh battery, cooling options, aftermarket cases designed for external coolers, sky is the limit. Imagine being able to piece together a pc handheld the way people piece together desktops. Sleeper build steam deck anyone?

@@DrakonR yeah, probably wishful thinking for this decade. I do stand by the whole steam deck 2 being a 1080p machine though as most of its competitors are atleast 1080p. The difference between the rog ally and the deck resolution is very apparent when playing, especially if you have both. Had my deck for a year before I got my ally, and immediately was blown away by how crisp, and clear the ally is by comparison. keep in mind valve's competition when they released the deck was almost non existent. (Gpd, ayn, ayaneo, all of which were much more expensive brands) so they were able to get away with a muddier experience. Not knocking the deck though, i still have and love mine.

Steamdeck has 4 core 8 thread processor, Z1 is 6 core 12 thread processor, and Z1 extreme is 8 core 16 thread processor. You said steamdeck is 6 cores.

the size of the menu is not effectet due the 1080p screen. on my Steam Deck LCD it looks also smaller then on my OLED. i dont know why and i have no clue how to chnage it but on the OLED the UI just looks bigger. But if you use big picture mode in the desctop mode it also looks smaller even if the resolution is 1280/800

if the rog ally just had the trackpads from the steam deck it would be a go to.. i also like the playstation like buttons and not the xbox like.. so yeah.. depends on what people wanna do.. for me its the steam deck all the way :D when i'm home and i wanna play ultra settings i just use steam link (also longer battery life) big minus for the rog ally is the asus software + support.. its horrorble.. not just for ally, for everything.. if you run into a problem one time its better to throw away that shit and buy a new one before the support is helping xD

There is nothing better than a Rog ally x out there. This device is way better than the steamdeck
