Hello, I love the result obtained, but can we decorate metal or plastic with these products, because the water may not attach well to metal? Thank you
@LemonCreationART
@LemonCreationART Жыл бұрын
hi and thank you! if you want to decorate metal or plastic, you will need to start with some sort of primer/ It could be just a product which is simply called primer or some kind of gesso- white, transparent or black one; You need to add 1 to 2 layers of primer or gesso directly onto plastic or metal and then you can add colors. Even highly watery products will adhere to the gesso. You will not manage with watery colors directly apply to these materials, so primers are the way to go.You can try also acrylic application, but it gas to be a danse acrylic, not a liquid one (sometimes white or black acrylics are used as a primer as well as their composition is a little bit similar to gesso) Hope that helps :)

Hi Asia, thank you so much for your inspirational tutorial. I have a couple questions: What are you spraying on the paper with your "pulverizador"? Water? What are you brushing on the paper with your brush? Water? Do you think your technique will work on thin sheets of metal (tin, copper) to get the same look? Thanks again! I can't wait to try your technique!!
@LemonCreationART
@LemonCreationART 2 жыл бұрын
Hi there and thank you for your nice comment :) To answer your questions: yes, it's water, to make sprays or powders flow more freely. With brush I either added sprays from the bottle onto the paper (you can use sprayer itself, but I like to work also with a brush, or I add the powders too do the watered background, or yes, if it's necessary, I aadd more water so the powders will melt better. While doing projects like that, the idea is to cover the whole background, but not get a perfect coverage; If you spray, you may get a lot of splatter, that's why I prefered to finish or to apply with a brush; For the powders it's always good to leave some particules which didn't melt on the background- that. will give the oxidise effect which I love. Yes, of course you can do it on a thin or even thick piece of metal; The only think you'll need is to prep the metal with absorbent ground or gesso, otherwise the paints will not stick to the surface; Once the base is covered by any type of primer, you can do exactly what I did here on the paper :) Hope that was helpful :)

@@LemonCreationART Thank you Asia, for your response (I thought it was water :-) I will experiment on a piece of copper sheet and sheet metal using your techniques here. I will buy some clear gesso per your suggestion and prep the surfaces... Btw, I purchased a variety of Shakers and Sprays from Lindy's (the same ones you used in your tutorial) for my project idea :-) Thanks again!!

Hi Asia. I enjoyed seeing this, but the places you held up the Lindy's product to show the color name were mostly too short and we were unable to see what the color was. Thank you for a great idea on how to make these metallic papers. They are looking just fabulous. Sorry for asking. But did you spray with the different colors and on top added embossing powder ?? Normally most embossing powders turns out shiny. But your metal cards look dull as supposed to for this kind of background paper. Thank you for taking time to make a video and share with us. Hugs from Monica... 😉😍😉 Spain
@LemonCreationART
@LemonCreationART 4 жыл бұрын
Hi Monica, sorry for the late answer:) I did not use any embossing powder; I just use different sprays and powders and to add a tiny bit of shine and color to the dots, I used the waxes. I am not too much for the shine, but I am sure that if you'd like to use embossing powder, you can do it as well:) Big hugs! xo
