As a Christian who actually pays attention to the Bible when it forbids ancestor worship, we never decorate for Trick Or Treat with anything dead. We do the cute stuff with cats, bats & the occasional goofy "witch".

@HardWorkingMom yep! Witches weren't actually witches. They were older women who practiced herbology, lived alone & kept stray cats as companions. As few ppl were acquainted with healing herbal tinctures, their knowledge of the healing aspects of herbs & medicinal plants, the men of the time feared what TODAY we know as a NURSE PRACTITIONER. So, we do witches, cats, spiders & bats. Also, the ambiance of old dilapidated houses and spooky trees. We don't do anything dead & no skulls, bones, or eyeballs. That way we can take what was originally meant to be a time of terror & human sacrifices, we can turn into the absurd & laugh about it. Incidentally, so many cats were killed in the middle ages superstition, the rat populations were MUCH worse as a result. In their ignorance, they set up the conditions necessary for the Bubonic Plague juggernaut to rival COVID-19.

Day of the dead is not evil. People do your research before you start quoting the Bible. 38:18
