STEAMRAIL LOCO R761 VISITS SOUTH AUSTRALIA PART 1

Here is my version #1 from the lineside, (and more) when Steam Locomotive R761 came to South Australia in 1987. This video follows the trains journey to both Peterborough & Victor Harbor on the first and second days of the trip. All footage by the uploader using a hand held BIG VHS camera (sorry about the shaking)

Yeah once the Overland line was converted to SG (standard guage) is prevented any Broad guage SRV services to S.A. The only R class that could possibly run the line would be R766, but that’ll never happen.

I mean the closest we can get to this happening again is if Steamranger decides to buy a Victorian Steam Locomotive ​@MySteamChannel
