Nice blend of RWS and TVS versions. I'm glad you removed the "You'll never!" part. That was so meanspirited. Really felt to me that Awdry hated Sir Handel's mechanical guts with a raging passion.

@@GScaleSodor You're welcome. Honestly, I'm tired of Sir Handel being the punching bag of the SR. Skarloey, Rheneas and Peter Sam aren't immune from having accidents or whatever. I wish fans would write more positive stories about Sir Handel. There's only like one I recall, and that's from his MSR days - it really showed he grew following the events of Bulldog.

George! I was half expecting you to create a 'temporary model' (I think you did for something in one of your other videos?) since I doubt you'll get much use out of him after this story. But he looks great, especially the face :D

Thank you! 😀 it's often the case that it's really not worth making an entire model for one time characters, especially if their screen time is limited (City of Truro for instance). But George is such a distinctive and loved character that he was worth building just for display 😁 So far as the video is concerned, he's such a huge part of this story that we couldn't skimp on a proper model 🙂 now he can retire from acting, and go to exhibitions and the like with the others! 😁

@@GScaleSodor Why not? How about Glynn the “Coffee Pot” Engine, he may not have been in The Railway Series books but he was the North Western Railway’s original Number 1 Engine before Thomas had arrived on Sodor.

Thank you very much! 😀 The narration was edited to combine the TV audio and the RWS audio book read by Michael Angelis. We wanted to combine the best of both and feel more accurate to the source material. 🙂

This version differs from the original on one point. In the original story, there was so little damage done that Sir Handel was able to continue with his train, and Rusty was not needed.

By 'original' do you mean the tv show? The book was the original, and had Rusty helping clear up.
