Hi, hyperfixation doesn't just mean being super into something. I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you're autistic and stranger things is one of your hyper fixations, but just in case; NT people don't have hyper fixations. It's extremely damaging to take words and just water them down when they can be extremely useful. Like what happened with triggered. It doesn't mean mad or unnecessarily mad, it means some sort of trauma point has been set off for the person. It's really important that we don't water down words used by the autistic community or other neurodivergent people.
