@@teogonzalez7957 I've done editing and animation in the past for school work. I know how long it takes to make these kind of videos. But that does not mean they didn't get the idea from IH or Count Dankcula. What is the most time consuming is the fact they would have to do research and condense it into the 20 minute informative format that this channel is known for. While they would have gotten around to Stede eventually, he clearly got priority. Not hating, but to call this a "coincidence" is bollocks.

It was said in his journal that he began to become obsessed with pirates. Blackbeard and a far previous pirate named Henry Every. Make another one of that, people would love stede bonnets journal. I watched a documentary about it. Its boring at first, but then it gets good. However, if anyone has watched "Our flag means death" and its a show about him. Everything is accurate, but there are some speculations of other things. But one part of that show is inaccurate and that's towards the end. The government at the time did not use a shooting squad to kill Bonnet and his crew, they were hung. So yeah. A d this guy basically clarified that last part.

Blackbeard at least let Stede basically cruise on his ship to read and lounge in his pajamas like in the show, so I like to think they clicked as friends at some point. They hung out and worked alongside each other for way too long for Blackbeard to always have wanted to betray him, and the show definitely is onto something by suggesting they could have connected on a deeper emotional level considering that Blackbeard might've had a similar background to Stede complete with a skill in marketing his image (just as fearsome instead of gentlemanly) and an aversion to killing.
