Nice little job for the arvo and the neg switch info is good to know. I use the Milwaukee m18 heat gun, it’s not cheat to buy batteries just for a heat gun but I originally got it to use at work as a air con tech, it’s handy to quickly trick a A/C unit into thinking it’s summer to force cooling, it doesn’t get as hot as 240V heat guns and it chews batteries but it works for me. also pairs well with the Milwaukee m12 battery soldering iron.

I use these as canopy lights in pairs. I got some yellow film to put over them. They throw heaps of light. Top tip, see how you stressed the plastic in the tailgate trim where its gone white? If you gently run a few passes over it with a heat gun it will go away. Do it at a distance so you don't melt the plastic.

The film is a top idea. I have seen the plastic trick it’s probably time I try it. I’ve got a bad habit of just throwing things in and letting them bash around 🤣

The idea of using them as canopy lights is a great one.. supernova do a kit of 6 or 8 colour changeable and programmable rock lights that change colour using a phone ap.. yellow light seems to be the default colour.. though I'm not sure it produces a white light.. ive a set ready to go on mine once it arrives..

@@danielslama2017 I was looking at the Stedi RGB kit for mine. I was thinking I’m too old for party rock lights 🤣🤣🤣 maybe I need them

Did you see my comment a few weeks back about putting one of those rock lights underneath the roof spoiler and mating it up to your reverse light.
