Steel bar weight calculation easy method
Formula = d2/162
Where, d = dia. of steel bar in mm
For example,
Unit weight of 8 mm dia steel = (8 x 8) / 162
= 0.400 kg /m
10mm = (10 x 10) / 162 = 0.610 kg/m
12 mm = (12 x 12) / 162 = 0.890 kg//
16mm = 16 x 16 / 162 = 1.58 kg/m
20 mm = 20 x 20 / 162 = 2.46 kg/m
25 mm = 25 x 25 /162 = 3.85 kg/m
For example, if length of 8 mm is 12 m
Total Weight of steel bar = unit weight of 8 mm bar (0.400) x length of bar
= 0.400 x 12
= 12.4 kg/m
