I am sorry to say this but at least in this battle it showed me that you did not understand how to resist certain kinds of enemy attacks. When you have no considerable access to tanks at least like tanks IV or Stug IIIs (the minsk detachment is no significant tank force against the Lend lease Shermans, only old tanks to mainly fight against partisans) and you also have no airforce and heavy artillery you can only defend "out of the bushes and forests" by using close AT weapons like Panzerfausts and AT grenades. Positioning yourself in trenches in the open is a death sentence to those sitting in there because in SD II you can not just lay down in the trenches to be protected. In such a situation you have to place yourself, your trenches BEHIND houses and forests around the corner and close to roads where enemy tanks try to push forward. To be sure that you can hide yourself behind houses I would highly recomend to deactivate "seeking automatic cover" in the settings because this is also a treath to your soldiers specially when its about houses, because soldiers IN houses are not much better protected like in the open ground so only when you disable the automatic cover you can place soldiers in the "view shadow" behind houses and let them shot with panzerfausts in the last moment both enemy and defender is seeing each other. Don`t forget ammo trucks that you also have to hide in open bushland or behind houses to supply the Panzergrenadiers.
