I've watched a bunch of videos now on how to swing the mace ( mine Is coming in the mail soon ). I was getting confused about which way to start the swing bc each video was doing it different. You're the only one who said to point the finger of your base hand and thats the direction it goes.. That's a great tip! Thanks man.

Sure thing 👍🏼Ya, I cannot tell how many trainers contradict themselves saying "you should ONLY push with your top hand" with 360s when 10&2's and single arm 360s exist.

I'm 6'1 215 lbs. Been working out since I was a teenager and I'm 38 now. I can say that I'm glad I got the 10lb mace to start lol. 😰

I know nothing about mace exercises but these videos are explaining everything in depth and coach vaughn makes his exercises easy to mimic in the correct form. great job!!

Thank you for these more in-depth videos! I'm a little confused as Leo Urquides' and Rik Brown's 360 tutorials instruct to drop the mace over the opposite shoulder of the mace hand (right hand mace hand, go over the left shoulder). Is this a personal preference thing?

Thanks, you're welcome. Yes, but you should be able to do it either way overtime to master the 10 & 2 since it goes both ways. You can do either, so ya it's come down what feels most comfortable for a better learning experience.

Thanks for all the instruction, do you see any real difference between the '10to2' and an 'alternating 360' ( coming to vertical control before reverse ) ? Do you ever refer to anything as a gama-cast? Checking out your new stuff '24 cheers

Yes, there is a difference. The 360 should have a pause in the 12 o’clock position each rep going for multiple reps in one direction at time (left & right = 1set). The 10&2 when performed, should not hit the 12 o’clock position at all - making it more challenging decelerate each rep. In relation to this video with The Four P’s - The 10&2 only has Three P’s (push, pendulum, and pull) because there’s no pause. So the pull phase has to be way stronger as it becomes weightless in the 10 & 2 o’clock positions. Glad you are enjoying the content 👍

Is it possible to do? I don’t see anyone doing it 1. Standing position - Stacked hand position 2. Steel mace halos 3. Reverse lunge - twist -stacked hand position

Most people I see go towards there top hand. You go towards your bottom hand. Is there a benefit in doing one over the other. Should you do both?

Is it true that if my upper hand on mace is right, i have to start from left side? or can i start from which direction i want without to look which hand is mace hand?

really dumb question cause i think u answered it at 2:30 but tho i have to switch my grip (I'm right-handed) and go the opposite way to make sure i work out both sides or does one grip style work out both?

If one only has a kettlebell, is the halo exercise a good surrogate for the 360?

Yes, highly recommend KB Halos to better prime the ligaments & tendons for circular motions when taking interest in mace training.
