Snare sounds great but the tuning on the kick is immaculate. Keep it up!

I just put on pure sound brass snare wires few months ago love the sound. Im a new drummer and my teacher recommended them and sounds awesome. I have a basic 5 pc pearl export kit and put on remo pinstripes and changed snare wires, a few small changes makes such an impact.

Cool man, the sound fades faster on steel and I prefer this one

I cant tell a difference! Maybe its because i do more of a John Bonham snare type tuning 70s tune sound now, where you can hear the wires more. When it comes to brass, aluminum, or steel shells, I really can tell the difference.

I love that beautiful overtone of the brass wire. are you still using it? or did you switch back?

Still rocking the 24 strand brass wires. I love the sound I'm getting from them.

Brass give more snare attack but maybe it's because more strands?

I spy with my little eye a Strapping Young Lad tattoo! Gene Hoglan is the best! the brass wires seem to have a bit more crack and add stick definition, but i really wonder if its the material or the extra 4 wires compared to the steel ones. Just my humble observation.

IMO, I think it's a fair blend of both. I'm still going strong with the 24 strand wires. And yes sir, Gene Hoglan is the man!

The brass sounds a little better. Interesting, because I switched from 20 strand Pearl steel wires to 20 strand Puresound brass on my Pearl Masters maple 5.5x14, and I haven't been able to make them sound better than the steel ones. Was hoping they might decrease the sympathetic buzz a little too, but no luck so far.
