Ive commented before, that wider handles offer better control during cutting. This new thing going on that the perfect handle thickness is a half an inch is a little silly. People seem to care more about how much real estate the knife takes up in your pocket than on how comfortable the knife feels when you use it to cut something.

You are right there of course 7Steels, but the flip-side of that is. Some people who carry a knife every day, may use it 16 times a day, while others may use theirs only once every 26 days. So very different use cases. Some people are just not willing to carry that fatter knife all of the time, for an occasional cut. Same goes for pocket-clips. A person taking a knife in and out of their pocket 16 times a day, pays far more attention to pocket-clip design, and ease of getting it in and out of the pocket. Than the person who may only take it out bi-monthly.

I both agree and disagree with your assessment of these knives. If you're looking for a light edc-friendly ball-bearing flipper, these definitely aren't the knives for you, but then again Steel Will already makes several knives that fit that description. The Barghest is designed to be a big, tough, hard use folder, so D2 steel, thick liners and bronze washers make sense. I understand wanting it to be lighter and/or on bearings, but if Steel Will already makes lighter D2/G10/washer knives (Plague Doctor/Lanner), and D2/G10/bearing knives (Avior/Shaula/Screamer/etc), then it's not a bad thing for them to make something different. I will admit that the $70-80 price does seem on the high side, especially as the majority of the Steel Will's D2/G10 flippers I just listed are in the $50-65 range. Also, you're not wrong that more consistent washer quality would be better, but it is a

The large one weighs more than my Cold Steel Voyager XL Tanto at 7.7oz, and it has nest steel liners that are not weight relieved

Harnds warrior is a hair smaller with D2, washers and more color and blade shape options for $31. Seems like most Steel Will knives are ehhh at best, nothing that really screams out. And don’t worry about a couple naysayers, just keep on keeping on. Cheers!
