Kudos to Steel Will for doing some exciting and actually new things this year. They won SHOT show among knife manufacturers this year IMO.

IMHO Steel Will had the only knives that look appealing this year, and maybe Spyderco... really excited for some of these new releases from Steel Will though...

I'm liking some of the ZT's too.
@truebornsonofliberty5548 жыл бұрын
MrGeerbear but those prices. Ouch.
@MrGeerbear8 жыл бұрын
Yeah they are high, but probably will sell for lower at retailers. These Steel Will knives have tremendous prices for the materials.
@jakelane10388 жыл бұрын
M85FSLUVR The prices are just fine for the materials you are getting and the fit and finish, also the more expensive ones coming from Italy.
@truebornsonofliberty5548 жыл бұрын
Jake Lane I was referring to the ZT prices. These Steel Will prices are fine.

Damn where have these guys been. Great clean looking knives that dont look like toys or boutique crap. Spyderco has gone off the deep end with designs & price and zt has a few decent new models but for production pieces these are fantastic. Steel Will will be getting a lot of my cash. Thanks for the video TLBS... TAKE CARE

That carbon fiber sheep's foot is freakin' awesome! I'd love to see it with their new lock, and barrel spacers instead of solid backspacer. Nice!

LBS- I know you liked the Gekko last year. I really liked the Apostate. KnifeNews called Steel Will one of the five companies to watch this year. Great materials and value. Great job Scout. Some great blades. I vote for calling one the Shane. You deserve it.
@jeremyg3718 жыл бұрын
Really like what's coming forward from this company. I've admired their knives in the past year since I started collecting. I just haven't taken the plunge with them. After seeing this I might have to. At the start I was like no way to expensive then he dropped down to my area of pricing, thank you for that. Look forward to owning one or two of these beauties.

I've never been a fan of liner lock or frame lock knives. A friend and I were having an email discussion about locking mechanisms and the new ANT lock from Steel Will looks very similar to the operation of what we had in mind. I'm very much looking forward to picking up one of those... or maybe three. I'm heading to their website now for more info. Thanks for the video.

@Nanchi8 жыл бұрын
man they are killing it man they have some really cool stuff
@Miso_Hornie8 жыл бұрын
Wow, that Cutjack is SIIIICK! I would go for the FRN/D2 model. I'm not too excited about the gentlemen's line or the folder 25 model but that axis-style look looks great. The censor models look excellent too. When Cold Steel upgraded their steel line, I feel like they left an opening at the $50/$60 pricepoint.

Man there are some really neat things coming out. I've seen things I want from Steel Will, Gerber, Leatherman, CRKT, and more! Don't think my wallet will forgive me this year.
@robertoochoa17968 жыл бұрын
are you doing a vid on kizer knives?
@EarlyMist8 жыл бұрын
I like that those first folders are available in m390. Plus the d2 models look like they might well knock the Ontario Rat down a few notches. loving the choil even though some may deem it unecessary at those size blades. I'm also a massive fan of large deep finger guards built into the handle and doubled up with flipper...ala ZT hinderer style. I just don't touch a knife with my $ unless it has this factor. Definitely keeping my eye and wallet open...
@Relsek17 жыл бұрын
The budget ones are nice, but still ~2x the price of a Rat.

Great looking knives at great prices. The pocket clips need some design work, I can already tell some of these will cause issues. I'm assuming these knives are made outside the USA. First time I have even heard of this company. Heading over to Amazon now.

The folding knives with the new (button) locking system could be a problem in NY because of the strained interpretation of the gravity knife law.

@Relsek17 жыл бұрын
Ugly, but cheap and reliable.
@triumphant397 жыл бұрын
It's a flipper as well, feels alot more safe/secure in the hand. I have a rat folder, and it's just not a very good tactical knife. There isn't much of a ricasso or choil combined with a somewhat slippery feeling grip (the sides are textured, but the edges are slick) lead me to give mine away as a gift. To be fair though, it's a well made knife for being made in taiwan, just don't personally see the purpose of a tactical folding knife that fails in the self defense department. On a flipper the thumb lever acts as a blade guard when the knife's open - which is drastically better in my opinion.

Let me guess, it's all made in China and soon will be available at aliexpress at $20 each...
@florissiekerman94648 жыл бұрын
Not at all! Most stuff's made in Italy :)
@k-dog70138 жыл бұрын
If they are successful then probably so, and if you support the Chinese knife counterfeiting industry then go ahead and pick up a piece of garbage that looks like one for $20.
@deejay15348 жыл бұрын
Let me guess, you didn't listen to a word he said about some of the knives made in Italy? Or the fact that most Steel Will knives are made in Italy in the first place, with only the cheaper ones from Taiwan?
@BigSmartArmed8 жыл бұрын
xDJOx Rex How would you know that they are made in Italy and are not contracted out? China makes majority of "brand name" products with "made in anywhere" printed on.
@k-dog70138 жыл бұрын
How do we know they're made in Italy? Because if you look closely at the details the on the m390 ones they are exactly the same style as Lionsteel (which is contracted to build them) while the details on the d2 ones are slightly different, and because not everything is a conspiracy.
