Good video Daniel. Back in the late 70's I started learning these same steel bends from a book by 'Arlen Roth' called 'Nashville Guitar'. It came with a tear out 33-1/3 rpm record that had Arlen playing each lick for you to hear. That was a real treat back then as there were no Hot Licks videos or KZbin videos to learn from. These pedal steel licks served me well over my 35+ years professional playing career. I sometimes added a volume pedal for swells that really added that steel guitar esque sound. For all the new guys trying this technique, don't give up! As Daniel mentioned, your hands and fingers may be awkward and resist at first. But practice them about 15 minutes each day for a couple of weeks. You'll then find your hands and fingers will develop the strength and coordination to play these authentic steel licks with ease.

You just gave me hours of awesomeness to practice. Thanks for an inspiring session. Love that pedal steel sound, particularly in the Flying Burrito Brothers, with Sneaky Pete Kleinow.

As I've gotten older I find that I have started having some minor pain in my hands while playing. Do you do any 'hand /finger stretching' prior to playing or is just playing enough? I would guess you are too young to have hand pain issues.
