I was at this game. Loved every minute of it. Kudos to the Longhorn fans as well. I have been to a lot of away stadiums and have met many fans of opposing teams, and I have never been to a classier place than Texas. Fans were gracious and complimentary to me even moments after their loss at home. Great stadium, atmosphere, culture, and history there. If I wasn't a Buckeye, I would probably be a Longhorn.

That's one of the reasons why in some ways I prefer re-watching CFB games from the '70s - '00s over more recent or even live games. The teams with swarming, punishing defenses back then were a thing of beauty. The more recent shift in rules and offensive philosophies have changed the balance of power between O and D. Modern quick tempo, high pressure offenses are fun to watch, but I'm old school and appreciate the days when great D's are what won championships.

OSU is the one up 2-1 when counting championships in the last 20 years. You guys can have the head to head and we'll keep the championships.

Buckeyes beat the #2 team in the country 2 times in 2006 and were the first team to ever record a perfect 1.000 in the BCS standings. They should have cancelled the Championship game that year.

@@jimbeaux89 They won the NC in 2008. They finished 12-1 #3 in 2009. They played in three SEC Title games as recently as 2016. They finished 10-3 and 11-2 with major bowl wins and Top Ten finishes the last two years.

CharlieB5 True, but the OSU team that FL played in the BCS title game was no where near the same OSU team that played TX in this vid. The two month layoff for the Bucks cost them dearly in that BCS title game.
@philliplockhart58534 жыл бұрын
Daron Texas FL's layoff was not as long. They played their last conference game a week after the Bucks played Michigan. Then they played the SEC Championship game a week after that (Big Ten did not have championship game at that time). Makes a huge difference.
