My guess is what changed was BA is forcing his way out. It’s very clear he doesn’t want to be in SF anymore. So 49ers have probably dropped their trade price as they don’t want to deal with any drama with him next season. Or maybe Steelers not getting some other guys they were looking at at wr maybe they upped their trade price? But my guess is it’s the former. Omar has me wanting to give up everything for Aiyuk. It would be a nice trade though. Much to my disappointment as a fan,at the end of the day the Steelers will either go with what they have now and that'll be it,then draft a WR in the second round(I would prefer they use the first round with a Wide receiver)as supposedly the glaring need is Center,Left/Right Tackle? This reminds me of the Bills trading up for Sammy Watkins and OBJ is still on the board. Why do this when the draft my produce an even better wideout at a much cheaper price? Now if we were trading for a corner I could understand, but with our history for drafting wideouts why would we do this? Another thing, do we want another wideout that maybe volatile in the locker room? How would that show GP14 the right things to do?

Noah, in 2 years whenever they need to resign Minkah Fitzpatrick, he’s going to be 29 years old and well past his prime. He’s already having trouble staying healthy and although being asked to play in different parts of the field, he’s underperforming his contract. That’s not a guy we should be giving a big contract to-that’s a guy we should be thinking about trading in 2 years, taking a big pay cut or letting him walk. The Steelers need to get younger and cheaper on Defence as the young offensive players will be reaching their primes and expecting to be paid. Overpaying vets past their prime is how we got here in the first place. When it’s time; it’s time.

I wouldn’t say he’s past his prime. He has a heavy work load because our linebackers have been so inconsistent over the last few seasons. If we get better linebackers and better consistency out of them, he will play better. He’s constantly having to pick up the slack of the linebackers and our corners because of missed tackles or getting straight beat in coverages. If anything it might be time to change the way we run our defense and scheme.

You give the Niners a third this year straight up as we have to take on Aiyuk's contract and sign him. After you land Odunze, you take your CB at 20, Frazier in the second and Blake Fisher at OT with the remaining 3rd rounder. Select Khristian Boyd at DT in the 4th and go BPA with the last two picks.
