QB1 dynamic is easy, you start whoever the best QB is and you have a extremely high level backup either way. Both QBs are dirt cheap, Fields is still on his rookie deal and the Broncos are paying for Russ. So there's no financial pressure. The Steelers would be smart to get Fields a ton of reps during the preseason, to increase potential trade value. He's still young, improved every year on the Bears and has a tradeable contract so if a teams QB goes down you could get some draft capital for Fields if Russ is balling as the starter. Steelers are in a really good spot to start the year.

He built a great defense, but the only reason they could maintain that defensive roster is because Wilson carried the offense so much. Carroll didn't have to invest in an offensive line or position players. Wilson eventually got tired of running for his life. He changed after the injury caused by Suh against the Lions. He started speaking up for himself, and that led to the clash of heads that resulted in him getting pushed out. However, make no mistake, no other QB could have had that much success in Seattle with the offensive line and position players they were using. With Denver, Payton was simply brought by new ownership in to sabotage Wilson.

It would be great if the Pittsburgh Steelers move as a team and as a unit and don't let the media get in the way of their success. There is no quarterback battle. We know Russell is a certified starter. And really a top 10 quarterback with the right offense. Everything else is for clicks. I'll make it as easy for you as possible as someone just reading this. They both were with poorly ran organizations. One was only bad one year. The other was bad 3 years. One of them gave you everything you want from a quarterback as in professionalism, leadership, scrambling for touchdowns and first downs regularly, trusted the front office even though they let him down. The other complained he wasn't being used right.one had a broken hand one year and a leg injury the next then got healthy. The other was healthy and just sucked
