@SteelersNation7 So, at what week is it not logical to put a guy in who was limited throughout the summer and preseason and now can miss up to the first 4, 5 maybe 6 games or more. At what point is it not smart to take the guy who is establishing rhythm, gaining confidence, getting comfortable with his receivers and team, etc. And put in a different guy 5 or 6 or more weeks into the season and start over just to "see what he can give us" 🤔

Tomlinson said that Russell Wilson sober QB1 as soon as Denver ditched him. It does not matter what Wilson USED to be. He had an illustrious career. HAD. He’s old by NFL standards. Tomlinson is playing politics because he probably thinks that the Steelers can get a better deal,on a Russell Wilson trade if he remains the designated starter. But that’s all baloney. Justin Fields is and should remain the starter.

Oh please!!! We are winning and we keep winning without naming a starter. Why should we listen to you? Maybe Justin Fields will feel too much pressure being NAMED starter. He had to survive Chicago and now he’s made it to Pittsburgh and has started 3-0. How many more sacks would Russ had taken? Or how many times would Russ had thrown the ball away instead of pulling it down and making something out of nothing? How many INT’s would Russ had thrown by now? Better question.. What would Justin Fields stats be if we weren’t so irresponsible with penalties in the first 2 games? Fields is 3-0 has limited mistakes , has the team behind him, is a special player who can extend plays and keep us on schedule. AND he’s the future, as we both agree. If he’s having success why would we put Russ in? That doesn’t damage Fields confidence? What has Russ done for the Franchise to deserve that kind of respect? And not only that all the metrics show Justin Fields producing at a higher rate then Pickett has ever in his life. When the time comes for Fields to make plays, he is more than capable of doing so. He's shown that in the past and now he is showing he can also protect that ball. Tomiln knows exactly what he's doing. Russ will not play a snap. And by the time he's full healthy week 6 or 8 or whatever Tomlin knows all he gotta do is sat we gone ride with Fields because Russ missed too much time. And he'll still be respectful to Russ which is important to him. He's easing him down as we speak. People just gotta be real with themselves.

Mike Tomlin isn't stupid. He knows what sound QB play looks like. Justin has ran for a touchdown, thrown for a touchdown and he's had a few bombs called back by penalties. He is young and can throw the ball on the run. The only way Justin loses the job is if he loses back to back games. It's just that simple. 🖤 💛
