The 2022 NFL Draft is over, but the Pittsburgh Steelers didn’t stop adding players after 7 rounds. The Steelers signed numerous undrafted free agents this year, hoping one or two could end up being the next Donnie Shell, James Harrison, Jack Butler or Willie Parker. While that’s a longshot, the Steelers have a great track record of finding UDFAs who are able to contribute. With that in mind, here is a breakdown of all the Steelers’ UDFAs for 2022, per the latest Steelers news reports.

Out all the Steelers drafts I’ve seen, this one might be one of my favorites. They draft their franchise QB homegrown Kenny Pickett, first round talent WR George Pickens, fastest WR in college Calvin Austin (technically ran faster then tyreek hill with 4.03 but didn’t count it), first round talent DL Leal, Connor Heyward that is multi-positional, and I’m not even going to list all the UDFA. All in all, a great finale for Kevin Colbert 🖤💛🖤💛

Kenny Pickett is definitely not a franchise quarterback his hands are 8 1/2 inches the football is 1 1/4 inch bigger than the college football when bad weather hits his accuracy will take a hit as well

@@AndrewWatsonSr so you say that about Kenny Pickett. Yet I heard everyone say/make fun of the same thing when joe burrow was drafted about his hands. Doesn’t seem to be a problem for him in the NFL. Also I genuinely did not know weather affects how NFL players throw a ball. It sure is unfortunate Kenny Pickett didn’t play his whole college years in somewhere cold like, idk, Pittsburgh.

I feel bad for Mitch. He seemed very excited to possibly be the starter. We welcomed him. But now most are ready to throw him aside for KP. I think Mitch starts. I do like the competition. It should keep Mitch at his best. He wants to keep his job or at least his stock value high. As long as Mitch doesn't lose 2 in a row or throw 4 INT's in his first 2 games, he will keep the job. For now. I am super excited about this season. More excited than I was last year at this time.

Can somebody please explain to me why is everybody keep talking about a quarterback change. I thought it was about winning games and who gives us the best chance to win right now. I think that’s Mitch Trubisky or are we going to make the same mistake the Chicago Bears did. When they started 3-0 with Mitch and then change quarterbacks and went 2-5 and they had to bring him back and he went 3-1 and took them to the playoffs that year. Facts!!

I think that Warren and Tyree Johnson make the roster. Johnson had 8.5 sacks which was tied with our third round pick Lael. They definitely could work well together in the NFL

Mitch Trubisky will start and end the season revitalizing his career. Pickett will get some relief time but will not start due to the fact that the Steelers will be in contention all season and finish the season at 12-5. I give the Steelers an A- in the draft. Could have been an A if they would have manage to get a quality offensive tackle in the draft.
