As someone who grew up in a house without an example of a male spiritual leader, hearing from you guys goes a long way for me. It’s great to hear 1) strong Christians having “normal” fun conversations and sampling beers, 2) men talking confidently about their Christian faith and talking about strategies on how to do so with their families, 3) some awesome football talk! Thanks for everything, guys. And go Steelers!

Love that you guys are getting the point of view from military members. As a former AF guy, its such a huge problem in the military community making life long friends you can have conversations like that. The not wanting to get close to your brothers and sisters in the service is all to real. Thank you for talking about it.

Great episode, very insightful. Regarding the military life, it's not only the military personnel that have difficulty with establishing strong friendships. The spouse and children also get uprooted and leave whatever friends they did make every 2-3 years. It's a hard life for all involved.

I spent 21 yrs as a U.S. Marine. Everything Jerod talks about with the soldiers is the reality of being in uniform. There is an image you must uphold as you rise through the ranks so as to project to the junior troops the confidence, experience, and knowledge they need to feel from you as they rely on you to get them through whatever it is we were going to face. I can relate to pushing down my personal feelings and thoughts to the deepest recesses to enable me to function for the mission. After I retired, I was diagnosed with Transition disorder which I still struggle with to this day. It’s not easy to walk away from what you were for a couple of decades. I’ve grown closer to prayer and reading scripture which has helped me work through situations I deal with in life. It’s hard to express clearly those hurdles I may face, but my faith has helped me learn the Lord has laid out the path to follow.

Ben, Spence and Jarod. I want to thank you for uploading every week. One of the highlights of my weeks, i try to watch every vid but sometimes takes me a couple days depending on my time. Now im 16 But i appreciate you talking about your family and how faith is in your family personally thats a big reason i watch this i go to a bible fellowship church in pa so im glad i can call you guys brothers in christ! Miss you ben in the black and gold but all good things have to come to an end eventually. Maybe sometime our paths will cross and meet in person, prob not but its crazy to think how normal a "famus person" can be, i think personally we hype them up to be out of this earth people and idolize them which is not good but i catch myself doing that sometimes so i appreciate you for that and your beliefs ben. Your an example for others keep it up man. GO STEELERS! STEELERS COUNTRY LETS RIDE!

Interesting to see this take from Ben about losing games we should win, some of that started towards the end of his era in PIT like 2020 playoffs and 2021 tie to the Lions. Now that it's more prevalent makes you wonder if he's just more obvious to it or how much he kept it under wraps back then due to him calling his own plays based on in game adjustments.

The Steelers offense is kind of like an old car that is currently running, but not running very well. You know that something ain't right, but you continue driving it because it's currently getting you where you need to be. Seriously, It shouldn't take it 3 forced turnovers, 2 Raider roughing the passer penalties and a blocked punt to achieve a 30+ point game.

@@Tagraz Absolutely NO shade to Ben at all. But after watching his last 2 years with the Steelers and how his arm and mobility had gone south. How are people still making this kind of comment😅 I love Ben!! He made my 20's and most of my 30's some of the best years as a Steelers fan!! And I am definitely realizing now, the luxury of having a legit franchise QB for so long😅 But people saying he could come back now are just delusional. Again, no shade to Ben, I'm sure he would say the same thing. But maybe they are just joking or something🤷‍♂️
