I grew up in Chicago and every Saturday night at12am was the Midnight Special featuring folk music from Chicago and around the world. I was 13 yrs old when I heard her voice and started to follow her music. To this day no one compares to her and Maddy Prior!

I've always hated 'Seven Nights Drunk' for all of it's sloppy obscenity, and I've always adored this version..smart, funny, technically pristine...Carthy & the Span...'nuff said!

I'd clean forgotten about this version. Much better than the more usual Seven Drunken Nights.
