Here's a pretty straight forward song, one of their more well recognized tunes. Of course, they take a typical I-IV-I-V-IV-I progression and make it unique. Always a crowd favorite. What do you think?
I think it’s great! I had figured out a few of those mu chords by ear, this is so helpful to fill in the rest!!

That's part of the fun of playing Steely Dan - rarely your basic chords. Are there really 7455 other Timothypieples out there? lol

great tutorial! Somewhere I found the backing vocals isolated , put a split on the left hand to be played live. Now all I have to do is find a drummer keeping the right original tempo :-D :-D

I think I know how to play this. Time to to find out how wrong I am.

I've played this for decades and didn't notice the C/B in the left hand until I listened to the extracted part. We all learn.

Thanks very much for the tutorial James - much appreciated. Question: what setting should you use to play this particular song? i.e. your keyboard setting sounds like a rhodes/clavinet hybrid.

You are correct. I use a chorused Rhodes layered the clavinet to add a little percussive aspect to the chorus.
