This is one of the best songs I've ever heard. This should have 5 million views. The lyrics are brilliant. I keep listening over and over and get more out of it.

WE really LOVED hearing this one in Dubuque, IA, 1-10-2020. My grandma's cabin was out there in the country near Quebec, NC up the mountain from Rosmond. Miss her something terrible even 40 years later.....I can visit the Old Home place, but can never get back "home". Too True.

Know what you mean. Left home to enlist. Came back occasionally over the years when on leave for a visit to see family. This song epitomizes the very feelings I had every time I opened the kitchen door. I was sorry to leave each time to return to my unit, but glad to get away again, as it was no longer my home. After my parents died, I never went back.

That violin is screechable .. but your music is spot on beautiful! Fits in nicely during the song tho. I've loved this bands music for a very long time.

Thank you so much for performing at the Greenfield lake amphitheater in Wilmington North Carolina! Listening to y'all play and working with all the instruments was amazing. And to tell you the truth the best part that I enjoyed was the very last song that you all played. You did extremely well to get us to be quiet while y'all played without any speakers projecting the sounds. Totally all came from the instruments and especially the singers. And I was totally amazed.

"I know better than to cuss in my mama's house So more than not I just shut my mouth She hasn't lived here in a year or more But I still stand a little straighter when I walk in the door There's a fresh coat of paint on the kitchen wall How it looked before I scare recall Somewhere beneath there's a pencil line Shows how tall I stood the day I turned nine I can't unsee what I've been shown My body's been and my mind is lone And I never was ready for the things I know I can find the house, but I can't get home I did my first tour in ‘94 I was following the dead, I didn't fight no war And everywhere I went all the locals stared And it felt good feeling like a stranger there I can't unsee what I've been shown My body's been and my mind is lone And I never was ready for the things I know I can find the house, but I can't get home Dogwood's blooming like they always did And the roof still leaks on the garden shed And the sign in the yard says it's all been sold But I gave it away a long time ago I can't unsee what I've been shown My body's been and my mind is lone And I never was ready for the things I know I can find the house, but I can't get home I can walk in the door, but I can't get home I can sleep in the bed, but I can't get home..."

One of my favorite sayings is "Alexa, add this song to my favorites," and Alexa responds "This song is already in your playlist." (If the bass feels a little heavy, back up and get right in your speaker's sweet spot. How's that? That's also the best dancing spot. :)

Heard this band for the first time ever at a concert in FL a few weeks back. This song really stood out to me. Spooky and so moving. Great lyrics dont laugh but it reminded of a certain Led Zep song lol that wished it was half this good.

Steve Martin’s voice adds a distinctive sound to the blend of the total group❣️I love the contrasts between the various voices of the Rangers too when they perform without “Big Steve” ~ As a classical music voice major, I grew up on “country”. Love this combo‼️♥️M

Great singer, great song, great band. Steve Martin is a killer banjo player but he shouldn't be singing when the band has a voice like this guy.

Its a killer song, especially the signature intro but leave out the noodling/jamming in the middle. Really dig the band, as a musician guess it sounds critical BUT constructive.
