Can you show me a close up of how you hung those grinders up on the wall? I’d love to see some more of you storage ideas for tools. Thank You 🙏

Thanks for the new update. Recently finished the steering in my 50 Chevy pickup. Did exactly what you are doing now, wood dowels and all. I have owned this truck for ten years and I just turned 73. I am not sure what will get finished first... me or the truck. Keep up the good work.

Steven, I have not seen any of you posts showing routing wiring from door to jam for power windows, is there one that shows how you may have done that, thank Steve in AZ

Hi, Love the truck and your videos are super helpful, great ideas. I'm building a 54, in the middle of the LS swap now. I was curious where you got your column dash mount, i like that style. Thanks in advance.
@idahofabricator87103 жыл бұрын
I used the original column to dash clamp which fits a 2 inch Ididit steering column and I made the bracket that moves the original dash clamp back which allowed me to mount the column closer to the dash for arm room

I could make the brackets for you. Let me get back to you when I figure out cost and shipping. I’m not sure about payment, but I believe that Paypal would work. Let me know if that will work for you and if not we can certainly figure something out. Thank you.

I've got my column and U-Joints in hand! I am going to use 1/2 steel gas pipe to hold my support bearing

I did think about it, most of the collapsible steering shaft’s that I found were too long for my application they’re like 18 1/2 to 23 inches length so They would’d work for my application . You could buy a collapsible steering column. I decided just to go with the standard tilt column

Random question...do you know if that cross beam inside the cab in the rear is structural? As far as I know it was just to hold any leaking fuel in the back. I was thinking of taking it out.
@idahofabricator87105 жыл бұрын
I thought about that as well, I believe it is structural so if you’re going to remove it and I may even remove mine. It depends on which seat I choose, I’m gonna make a U shaped piece sheet metal channel underneath the cab from side to side close to the body mount because that brace is right near the body mount.

@@idahofabricator8710 I think I've decided to go with just raising my seats 2 inches. I'm using leather seats from a Tahoe with the electric adjustment. Btw, I'm a Navy growler pilot in Whidbey island Washington. I'd freaking love if if you ever stopped by to look at my truck if you happened to be in the area!

rlsukovaty what year Tahoe did you get your seats from? I’m assuming they’re bucket seats, are you gonna put a console in between?
