Thanks Stefan :) Very informative! Keep it up! You have my Sub! Btw for extended mapping i use faderfox 😊

Great explanation, very informative, many thanks! To use the mod wheel and aftertouch from midi keyboard, you need a midi merge box (inexpensive for what it gives) the scheme is: Kb midi out>DT DT midi out AND Thru> Merge box (in) Merge box out>DN midi in And Voliá, a whole new world of expressive madness :)

this scheme work with audio card also ? or it used because in audio card just 1 midi in/out ?
@09monosКүн бұрын
@@StefanTorto Awesome! so glad it helped!!
@09monosКүн бұрын
@@ShivaOm.DreamStream well, the point is that you need the MIDI out and the thru out of the Digitakt into the Digitone.. in the end, you’ll need that merge box.

Thanks ))) Long time wait it😊 SO happy about it out. by the way i have some questions: 1/if instead of moog synth I use nordlead2 rack, I need to output audio from nord - to input audio S1? or midi also need connected ? from S1 output to DG, and from DG audio and DT2 and then to the audio card. do I need to use midi in/outs for connection roland? Thanks
@StefanTortoКүн бұрын
Hi! Yes, If your Digitakt is your master you need to go midi out to Digitone midi in and from Digitone midi thru to roland S-1 midi in, in this way you can record S1 patterns from Digitakt and the midi information passes through midi thru. But if you need to midi control the Nordlead also you have to set the midi out of S1 to be Thru (see manual) and from there to midi in to Nordlead. Hope that helps, If you need more help DM me on isnta. Cheers!

Very interesting! Thanks. How do you deal with the lack of mono sampling for kicks? 8:40
@StefanTorto11 сағат бұрын
Hi! You still can't sample in mono (they will add this function in the future updates i believe) but if you import a mono sample via the Transfer app it will play in mono. I imported all my DT-1 mono samples when i took DT2 so my old projects play the same and also i can choose if i want to use some mono samples. Cheers!

One little question that I'm having problems figuring out about both electron machines, are the effects like delay and reverb per track or are they shared between all tracks?
@rooob74Күн бұрын
Per track🎹✌️
@StefanTortoКүн бұрын
The fx sends are per pattern (the same for all 16 tracks but you can send the amount per track). Cheers
@KelvinHemasКүн бұрын
@@StefanTorto Thanks for the clarification. Some synth sites says effects per track so I was really confused. So its the same as the A4. Do wish it was with the new boxes as on the octatrack where you have individual effects per track.
@StefanTortoКүн бұрын
@@KelvinHemas Wish it was the same and also hope the bring back the global mixer as mk1s. Cheers!

Do you have all the note/automation info in the Digitakt patterns and the Digitone is just acting as a sound module? Or do you have note/automation also in Digitone patterns and you sync the pattern changes in the two machines while playing?
@StefanTortoКүн бұрын
Hi! Each one use it's own midi patterns, especially now as the Digitone II has 16 tracks. Cheees!

@@StefanTorto Thanks for your quick reply and great video! One more question, since it is pretty easy on the Minilab 3 to switch midi channel, why not setup midi channel 10 as global channel on the Digitakt and mini channel 1 (or whatever) on the Digitone? That way you don't waste a midi track on the Digitakt and can use pitchbend etc. I am sure (but I might be wrong) that the Digitakt has a midi through option for its midi out port.
@StefanTortoКүн бұрын
@@EdoardoMarcora You have a point, its has a midi thru but to send clock you need midi out i think. With a midi hub 2x2 as @09monos said you can send both midi out and midi thru from Digitakt to hub midi ins and from there midi in to Digitone. I used to work by killing a track on Digitakt and now days i use it also to control several functions of Digitone from Digitakt. Will post how in the next video. Cheers!
