Absolutely love all Camino stuff but the NYC is great to watch as well. Dont be shy! You have a lot to share and I’m sure with your talent you could build your uTube channel quite a bit. You are so honest and open I already think of you as a friend and I’ve only been watching for a while. Still catching up on old videos.

I just finished a 12 hour nightshift and was so happy to see a notification on my phone that you had posted a new video. I love your Camino videos but also loved the new york walking video. I am travelling to New York in 2024 from Australia for a holiday so would love some more walking videos so I can see some different places to visit. Can't wait for your next video 😊

It was really nice to meet you and your mom in Barcelona! My Camino was a crazy experience that would require a long talk over a tinto de verano or 4. Thanks for stopping and chatting and I hope the flamenco show was a good one! Please do post more. Of course you’ll get criticism on here as it’s an online platform but remember there are a lot more of us here sending you un abrazo and positive thoughts.

Hi, I'm looking forward to your Portugal Camino vedio. I just did the Portugal to Santiago de Compostela Spain. We started in Lisbon and did a little part of the beach to Porto. Then, we continued on to Santiago de Compostela Spain. We did 25 days of walking with two days off twice in between before the end. We flew into Lisbon on September 4th, and our start day for the Camino was September 6th, which ended on October 4th at the Cathedral. We spent a few days in Santiago De Compostela Spain as a tourist before flying back to Lisbon for a couple more days as tourists. Then, we flew back home to Portland Oregon on the 8th of October. Looking forward to seeing your vedio. You do such a great job.

Thank you so much for your Camino videos. I've watched them all and look forward to the future ones! I'll be walking the French way 2027....and the the Portuguese Way in 2028....

I watched your three part documentary of walking the Camino Portugues with your mother. Then I watched this video. Now, I'm going back to watch the documentary again with your mother. Your 9 videos of walking the Camino are the first ones I've ever watched. And they sparked an interest / desire in me. I'm probably about your mother's age and watching the two of you walk the Portugues way helped me realize that I should do this walk first before the French way as it will not only fill the new desire I have to do this pilgrimage, but also will be more manageable. Question - how did you manage to get water if you found there was less water fountains and camino stores and did you still use your water bladder? Thank you so much for posting!

I’m looking forward to your Camino Portugués video. I’ll be walking part of the Camino Portugués in the spring. Part of the reason I’m walking in the spring is because your CF video inspired me to do it. I’ve been planning on walking the CF when I retire in a couple of years, but after watching your CF video I decided that I did not want to wait that long to experience the Camino.

I can't wait to see your Camino Portugues video, you made me fall in love with the Camino Frances and I hope to be able to get there soon. I turn 40 this year, my daughter is in college, it would be a wonderful way for me to welcome my new chapter of life. I would love to see videos of New York in Christmas time.

Glad to see you back. Best advice: Never show your building or your general street. For those outside of the City we can't tell the difference, but you can never be too careful these days. Never let fear hold you back from anything in life. You are a very interesting, engaging and entertaining Blogger. I think you would be great at it. I look forward to all the videos you have lined up.

The cure for the post-Camino blues is exactly what you are doing. It was similar to my experience is that after the Camino Frances (2022) and I had that post Camino 'what now' feeling. I immediately began planning my next Camino, my next Scooter Cannonball across the USA and my next trip to Southeast Asia and so on. Keep up with the KZbin postings and keep your creativity set on "high". Camino Frances for me mid-September 2024.

For other content I honestly think the way you did your Frances video would work so good for New York as well? Like just day to day, ‘interviewing’ people, like kind of humans of New York approach? You would honestly be so good at that. You did it so naturally on the Camino videos, you really are a great story teller in my opinion. And I’m stealing your ‘life is to short for that shit’ mode for the new year! Haha. X Nina

YES! I love this comment so much. I’ve been thinking about how to do this in New York. I think I’m over thinking it because the possibilities are endless here 😂 whereas on the Camino I just had to capture what I could as I went along, and didn’t have time to think about it. I would loooove to do this! Thank you Nina!! 🥳🫶🏼

wow, Stefanie, what an update... you went through so much, and sound quite 'casual' about it (probably only in retrospective)... I just couldn't believe my ears, to be honest! 😯WOW!! I bet, there were a lot of tears and moments of despair to get through... So good to hear, how the camino with your mom went... really looking forward to the video (perfect for Christmas!). Also the bit that you shared about how special Xmas is in NY makes me curious - looking forward to that too! Although it were mainly your camino videos which brought me to your channel, I'm also interested in more NY footage... I lived for 15 years in Berlin, and found it quite exciting to see, how I built my networks in the city... of friends, event places, cafes, eating places, parks, study/meditation/yoga groups etc etc... I'd love to hear more about that, although I don't expect that you will reveal your private life too much (and its good to draw a line somewhere), but what excites you about the city life. When I left Berlin (when I turned 40) I moved to the country side (but into an eco-village - so I have community and culture around me), and to be honest, never looked back... very happy now to live in a small rural environment with lots of nature, and not just parks, but unspoiled, wild one - magical dunes, and the sea (long + clean beaches) is 20 minutes away on foot, and fantastic mountains within an hour's drive ... in Scotland, my home country-of-choice... much love, and blessings on your next few weeks 💖

Aw yet another lovely comment, thank you!! I love that idea about nyc stuff. It’s my dream to move to the country side one day too! Your community sounds so nice!

It was great to see your post. I was honestly worried about your absence since you stated the Camino would be done in September. You are blessed to have been able to experience and share events of this magnitude with both parents. Great memories. I will say that you have inspired me to do my own Camino in the spring. Already started training. 😂 I need to, considering my age and previously sedentary life. I am really looking forward to the experience. I am looking forward to you sharing this last Camino. Keep up the great work! Mia San Mia!

What I loved about your Camino film was the heart it had. It wasn't a guide to a physical journey, but rather a spiritual one. You're ability to connect with people really shone through. Maybe you can do that with NYC? Talk to real New Yorkers, tourists, friends etc, in cool locations. What do they love/hate about the city. I've been to NYC 4/5 times, but never much outside Manhattan. I think it's definitely changed over the last 20 years or so. Maybe there's something in noting that evolution? As an Irishman what's always fascinated me is the cultural melting pot it was/is. Most cities are that now, but NYC was that 150 years ago. The EU existed in the five boroughs long before it came to Europe. If you stand at the famine memorial in Lower Manhattan and look at what the Irish came from, to what they (and so many other nationalities) built all around it and over in Jersey, it gives you that feeling of how the American dream seemed achievable for all of them. It is the most graphic representation of 'rags to riches' I've ever seen. A relative of mine made a tonne of money in NYC in the early C20. Later, he lost most of it in the crash of 29. But the Department Store that he and his Jewish partner built still stands opposite Bryant Park on 6th Avenue. Today its lower floors are a Japanese bookstore and a Pret A Manger. I can look it and think how grateful I am that America allowed him to make so much money, send a lot of it home, bail my family out of debt, and be part of the reason I'm here. Your city is the reason that a lot of families, all over the world, could put bread on their tables. Also, where else in the world could I sit in a Japanese bookstore, and drink coffee in a building built by a Jew and an Irishman?

I think the pressure of coming home and going to R.I. to do the shoot is indicative to the freedom you have in being single, not having to worry about putting someone else in an uncomfortable situation, It's a game we play with ourselves. I am much more free after my divorce as since then I have done cross country motorcycle trips, stayed at a nonastery in the French Alps etc., things my ex, therefore I, would never have done. Deep down inside, with all you've accomplished, the logistics were hard but you were confident you could do it. Putting oneself in uncomfortable situations is the game we play, extending the goal posts, because we are confident we can succeed.

I LOVED it! At first it felt gigantic, just because it was double the size of my last one 😂 but it feels wayyyy more durable, more waterproof, more useful all around. The pockets made a world of difference. And it’s just so pretty, I still use it as my main bag walking around NYC 🤗
