This is a great video. You guys really should reupload it today so that it can benefit from 1080P premium bitrate. If it came out 1-2 years later, it probably would've got automatically updated.

Well, with my original comment, I was referring to styles that were suited specially for the guitar. Classical, while there are pieces written for the guitar, has pieces written for other instruments. Flamenco is almost solely based around the guitar, and the first style really to exploit the guitar's full range of sounds. It was the first true guitar style in that sense.

actually, "drumming" on the guitar can be traced as far back as the baroque guitar. you can look up Santiago de Murcia's "Códice Saldívar N0.4" manuscript.

@Daveguitarfish thats like saying you cant use electric heat because we have fire and oil. It is done to accommodate your needs or wants. His percussive style on the guitar accommodated the rest of the piece. And as others have said, some of the earliest styles of guitar like flamenco rely heavily on striking the instrument. There's nothing new or wrong about it

that's rather close to the most unintelligent thing I've ever heard... drums exist, that doesn't mean their always available for everyone all the time. Its awesome to see how wide of a range of sounds you can play with just one or a very limited set of instruments.

@nD3w10 жыл бұрын
I slightly agree with ADU Aquascaping. I mean, don 't get me wrong, this tune is awesome, but while playing guitar you must be more focused on string sounds, not percussive sounds (even though they are nice). For example listen to some tunes of Jon Gomm, or Mike Dawes, or Eric Mongrain... They all use percussive style, but anyway they are more devoted to strings sounds...

I am a youtube snob and absolutely HATE when an uninformed opinion is used as a credible argument. It is insulting. I don't care if you have a limited perspective on music, quit this trolling or quit youtube and surround yourself with people that will agree with your outrageous shit. KZbin is not a forum for spewing your uninvited snobbery, and it is NOT acceptable to use it thus, why? because most of the 40+K views come from people who like this music.
