Sometimes I wonder why he doesn’t find a different coach. Daddy is constantly talking, now that it’s allowed he talks even more and it seems Tsitsipas plays best when he is in the zone uninterupted by all the advice. Sometimes he even tells his dad to keep quiet, I think he did that in Monte Carlo against Sinner.

And once you consider that Tsitsipas dominated Ruud in their last exchange, it doesn’t take a genius to see that Stef is the CLEAR favourite . As for your quip about the state of my thinking: I predicted Stef would win his quarter before the tournament began, and I put money on it. I will be rewarded handsomely (double my investment + an additional 10 percent) if he beats Acosta Diaz tomorrow.

I can't tell whats exactly to improve in his game (form, mind, whatever), but Ofners performances lately are incredible, playing beeter than some Top 10 players for the last few weeks.

I think he is on the right path. A few inconsistencies finishing some points. Could be mental rather than anything else. He seems able to beat anyone as long as he continues working hard. Look forward seeing him go to some big QF or SF . That for sure will boost !

Probably gonna be knocked out by Maroszan or DeMinaur in the process. It's totally understandable since he played 6 consecutive matches last week day after day from Tuesday all the way to Sunday. Monday was his only rest day as yesterday he had a practice session and played doubles. Tsitsipas should have focused more on Madrid imo.

@@curranzak4453 yeah I get it. Especially now that Alcaraz is not participating he is theoretically the favourite to win the title if he plays at the same level which I am usure of. It would have been better if there was a one week gap between Barcelona and Monte Carlo but it is what it is. His main priorities must me Rome and RG after that one because I don't see how he can maintain this level over a 3 week period.

Not sure everybody is aware - Stef's dad is talking NONSTOP ! If it were allowed he would even talk during the points. It is as if his dad tries to play through his son. Not only does it annoy Stef presumably but it also annoy everybody else. Stef shuts off I think as nobody can accommodate this much input. I remember I had a coach before that would talk to me after every mistake I did. Until I told him to stop and let me find my time to incorporate the things that he mentioned. If you constantly bombard your player with stuff, it has a detrimental effect. Honestly I did not expect Stef to win MC. Happy he did - they way he did it. Impressive. Goes to confirm what I feel. He has the tools and the ability. He just needs to find himself and his style. At the moment he cannot because his dad does not give him the space. Pity actually. He has no space to develop his style as he is constantly being bombarded by what the should and should not do according to his father.
