Everyone raved about Sabatini but I always preferred Steffi. She was outgoing and friendly with a fantastic figure. Gabby had a prettier face but was shut off personality wise so therefore not as attractive.

As expected, Djokovic failed like many before him. Steffi is in a class of her own and the undisputed GOAT of the sport of tennis. Djokovic is a great player and the greatest of his generation, but Steffi is the GOAT of GOATs. None of the big 3 come close to her in terms of achievements.

couldn't agree more. same about jana novotna (and maybe martinez). they were so much more accomplished and talented than jokes like Majoli, Myskina, Ivanović, Schiavone and Na Li. today's women's tennis is a sad joke....

a Grand Slam by definition is winning all 4 majors in a single calendar year.

It's Golden Grand Slam. But in 1988 she also won Wimbledon in doubles (with Sabatini).

Actually sport isn't about being what is fair the best players won and Sabatini in the big slam matches tended to lose to her rivals Graf, Sanchez Vicario, Seles, and Navratilova. Sabatini's problem is she lacked a good serve, didn't have a big weapon or have the mental toughness the other top women had. Even Arantxa she was smaller than Gabriela but what she had was a strong mind she was very mentally tough and hated to lose.

its a big big shame that suc ha talented player like Sabatini won only ONE grand slam tournament...its freaking unfair she deserved tons more than that!...but it is what it is...
