Fun fact: Scheuer-Larsen is one of three players to record a golden set in the professional era. In the 1995 Fed Cup Europe/Africa Zone, she achieved a golden set against Mmaphala Letsatle. She went on to win the match 6-0, 6-0.

If I remember well, this was her first double bagel in Grand Slam. Grass suited her game perfectly : her underspined backhand was so effective, and her mighty serve and forehand wrecked devastation in opponents game. Furthermore, grass favoured great athletes like Steffi, Martina or Pete Sampras.

Yes, her first double bagel. In total she did it 5 times, all at Wimbledon except one against Zvereva at Roland Garros.

Pretty sure Scheur-Larsen's racket is the same one Carling Bassett used. I never saw her play. Nice upload!

I'd never seen her either. Good all round game and movement. I think it's the Prince Woodie she is using; C Bassett used this before going to Dunlop max 200g in 1986. I actually thought it was a Prince Spirit which is the Gold painted aluminium frame, a lovely racket in itself, still use it myself. Cheers for the comment on this
