Hi any advice on matching bass/donk with a melody/acapella. Really struggling for them to go together. Thanks
@naughtyducky632510 ай бұрын
You need to find chords that match the vocal/ melody once you have this your bassline is the root notes of the chords

I need to know how to make the legendary scouse donk, I've spent many hours trying different bases and messing with the sound but can't make that perfect scouse donk, I end up making bases similar to this vid, but need the proper donk sound, any suggestions?

I think what makes it Scouse is the “Klubb” or “Pipe” bass as opposed to the square, I’d say the square bass your using is more Hard Dance/Techno. For lack of better words the bass needs to be a combination of a ‘pan’ or ‘bamboo’ bass in order to get the true Wigan sound. Donk.
@SteIngham4 жыл бұрын
I disagree.
@SteIngham4 жыл бұрын
Scouse House and Donk are not the same thing, Rezonance Q/BCD Project were scouse house and i don't think they ever used a donk bassline. Bamboo, Pan and Klubb are the names of a donk sample that was doing the rounds, its not even the original donk sound.
@smiles53954 жыл бұрын
Scouse/donk/Uk bounce - hardhouse. At the beginning was uk hardhouse. Later (between 1997-2001) became the new genre of uk hard house. It have only one feature - major bass was the bamboo bass. Alot of Dj's/Projects, which started do donk at the future, written in hardhouse style before. And they call their music "hardhouse". This is confusing alot of people, so they call the hard house scouse/donk. Also alot of Dj'S/Projects tried to create donk bass in synthesizer. But its very hard, so they did vaguely similar to donk sound, and in final did hard house (but mark this scouse/donk). Today most part of people for the doing scouse/donk use not very close to donkbass sound. And what the original donk sound?

but its Dancecore/Hands Up. Anyway - thanks for nostalgia
