IRL time displaced memory is the principal theory to what a dejavu is. the same memory saved two times in different "time stamps" on the brain, a live memory being read at same time as a memory, a dream memory accidentally saved as a awake memory without specific time and all the above. The name of the S;G movie is "load the region of the dejavu"

Okabe and Kurisu are both 18. Daru is 18, Suzuha is 18, Mayuri is 16, Ruka is 17, Moeka is 20, Nae is 12.

Daru is 19 while Okabe is 18 during the events of the show since his birthday is on December so he would be 19 by the end of the year. While Kurisu is also 18 but was born a year later since her birthday happened before the events of the story, so Kurisu is a bit younger.

So, not sure if you plan to read the VN at some point, but spoilers for the VN here, don't read this comment if you plan to read the VN. SPOILER It turns out that Rukako and Okabe can make a good couple. In the VN, you can choose not to send the D-Mail and let Ruka stay as a girl. Both her and Okabe are extremely guilty about basically being the cause of Mayuri's death, so Rukako uses the time leap machine to go back and cosplay for Mayuri at the convention that's going on at this point in time, so Mayuri can at least be happy before she dies. After that, Ruka and Okabe become a couple. The last image shows them in the future with their child.

Dunno if you plan to play the VN on your own time, but if not, you really owe it to yourselves to watch the alternate endings, especially Luka's. It's the definition of bittersweet. You should be able to find them easily on youtube, or just ask and I'll add links to this comment.

I don't know if I'll have time to play it, but if not, I'll definitely look them up n.n

If you decide to watch them, it would be interesting so see your reaction. You don't need to watch Kurisu's ending or the True end, they are both covered in the anime. The order for the others is Suzuha, Faris, Luka, then Mayuri. One more thing, make sure to watch the original VN endings, it's the version with sprites. Avoid Elite, it's animated well, but a lot of stuff is omitted or changed in it.

the funny thing to me is that Ruka only loves Okabe when she remember meeting him as a boy.
@chaosmastermind2 жыл бұрын
Yeah because he fell in love in that exact encounter. He really shouldn't have felt the same way as a girl, but apparently our relationships don't change even if time does on that show. Which is pretty weird, honestly. Time somehow brings people together even when it doesn't quite make sense anymore. Also, I guess the circumstances of what he sees in Okabe wouldn't change, so if in one timeline he feels that this guy is who he loves, it would make sense that he would feel similar even without that event, since it's the same person with the same personality and everything. Pushing that into love would just take another similar event, which could be anything really.

@@chaosmastermind the way i see is that in steins gate, individuals or our "souls" works similarly to "the egg - kurzgesagt" , but with the multiple timelines instead. much like a wave function in a double slit experiment to total of possibilities shape individual paths, so it reads as she likes okabe when female because most of the time lines she loves him when male. at least without some catalyst event female ruka will never be aware of this feelings in the same extent as male ruka. by the way double slit experiment and quantum eraser are my recommendations to fill the "plot holes" in the story.

I still say that Okabe was always in love with Rukako, even when he was a boy. He just lives in a society and a time where that sort of love isn't okay. Especially in Japan where they are basically 10 years behind the U.S. in everything except technology, and everyone is super conservative by culture alone. They both love each other, but neither of them are comfortable having a relationship in a time before gay marriage was a thing. So they are forced to not consider that an option. It's really sad, considering how much they love each other, especially Ruka. You can tell in later episodes (especially Stein's Gate Zero) that Ferris is in love with him too. The two of them together prove that beyond a shadow of a doubt (for me anyway) in the future.

Well, a pregnant woman can have either a boy or a girl depending what she eats... She's pregnant with twins (fraternal twins) of course. So depending the worldline this is not the same Ruka that leaves or is stillborn. You'll said that fainted memories are transfered, but since Ruka is definitly geneticly different (XX or XY, this is not the same chromosom), this is not the same human being. That means that the destiny of Ruka is shared between the twins (we don't know exactly how Reading Steiner of fainted memories are working). At least, that's the best explanation I found. I would be interested if you have another theory. That would mean that Rukako (the girl) accepted to die in order to have her brother (Ruka) being alive and sharing her memories with him. Really sad and painful.
@Kaylakaze4 жыл бұрын
@@charajeux The idea that chromosomes dertermine sex is such a childish simplification that it borders on falsehood. It'd be like claiming all people are right-handed. What determines sex is the hormones released by the mother during gestation. While the chromosome supplies a suggested instruction, ultimately, her body's response to that (and other possible stimulus) is the determining factor. That said, I don't think MAGES thought that hard about it.
@charajeux4 жыл бұрын
@@Kaylakaze They didn't but they still said in the VN that this idea was stupid. That's why Okabe was so surprised it worked.
