forcing yourself to watch steins gate is a good idea. just relax and watch its a solid show, out of all the top anime, it seems to get the least criticism. some people say its slow in the begining, i thought it was really good in the beginning then got great/amazing as it went on. the dub and sub are very different. both are great. most of the time you can trust the ratings, this show is no exception

Well there are actually 4 Steins;Gate openings in the anime, 2 versions of the original "Steins;Gate" and for "Steins;Gate 0" there is the winter version and the summer version. ^^

At the time, I was a newbie on non mainstream, non shounen anime and a friend suggested this anime to me. I have a hard time starting it. In fact, I believe I dropped it at ep 2 or 3 because I get very sleepy. After watching a looooooooooot of anime, I decided to give it a shot again and I love it. Maybe you need a lot of anime experience to watch this type of anime, or in my case atleast.
