Yes! Bobcut-team! What matters the most is to get the haircut YOU want. Don't keep your hair long for your partner or because you think "men like long hair". A good haircut gives you confidence, confidence is attractive. (and also in my opinion: if a guy is only dating you / interested in you because your hair is long and you think he'd leave you if you cut it, then maybe you should consider cutting both your hair and also your relationship short for the sake of your own mental health)

thats so true! its so sad that men think we need to wear our hair as they want (and tbh some women even just look better with shorter hair), so i shaved it just to fuck men off :) so sad how many lost interest hahah but as you said, then they are not worth it

Or the other way around! I met my boyfriend when I had a super short buzz cut and he loved it so much, now I want to grow it out to my hip long curly hair I used to have and I know he’d secretly prefer me to keep shaving it but I’m sure he’ll come around. Also looking forward to that amazing bob period in between!

I loved my buzzcut. Growing up, everyone adored my long hair and always told me how beautiful it was, and it became somewhat engrained in my identity. When I finally buzzed it all, I felt so free, like I got to know myself better, as odd as that seems. And zero maintenance but still having a "look" every morning is just **chefs kiss**. Traditional values of beauty just didn't matter to me as much. I couldn't hide behind my hair, so it forced me to be more confident. I loved every second of my buzzcut. Growing it out however was a PAIN. Looooong years of awkward growth haha, but hey, hair is just hair and it will grow back. Embrace the adventure. Already just 3 years after buzzing it all off my hair is now down to my waist, and I'm more than ready to go short again!

It may be boring, but I love my hair just under shoulder length without layers. I always wear it up in a bun because I have sensory issues with hair touching my face. So I could not do a bob or curtain bangs, I tried both and always had to pin the front pieces away with bobby pins. Pixie worked for me when it is short enough, but I do not like going to the hair salon and when it grows out it is getting in my face again. The buzz cut would be the one for me, but I am not brave enough 😁

One length bob/lob with bangs while doing Japanese straight permanent is my best haircut. I have flat fine hair but a lot of it, it has weird waves and gets frizzy in humid weather, hence the straightening. But doing the straight perm once in 6 months means that I don’t have to use the hair iron at all, so all in all my hair is healthier. I hate to feel products in my hair, so I just use hair milk and don’t have to do anything other than using a dryer.

Funnily enough I've tried most of these styles. Got an A-line bob when I was younger, but it wasn't as managable for me. It just got in my face so much, that I grew it out so I could wear it in a tail. Did a pixie cut that made me look like my mom for a year or so. Easily managable, even more so when I gave up on length gradation and turned it into an undercut. Finally bit the bullet last summer and took it all off, and I haven't touched it since. Growing out into what feels like it'll be a nice wolf-style eventually, though I'm debating between letting the front Grow Faster (again, managability, I don't like being unable to keep it out of my face) and cutting bangs so people can see my face again.

Have you ever done a single side shave? It's my current haircut as of the past few years (been growing it out from a mowhawk) and omg I don't know how I've managed with anything else. Maintainance is nothing, all you have to do is reshave the side every few months. Styling is almost limitless, you can do buns, ponytails, middle part it if you want to, brush it back, and braid it (I have mid length hair. The only downsides I've found is it's hard to do symmetrical hairstyles because of the inherent asymetricalness of it but it's genuinely my fave hairstyle.

Having a beautiful face and a nice shaped head makes any of these look good, which is why she looked good with all of these cuts. Very few people can pull off true pixie cuts and buzz cuts. Just saying. I've always wanted shorter, easy to manage hair, but I can't pull off super short styles, and neither can most women. It takes a certain face shape, hair type, etc or the styles end up being high maintenance.

Idk if it is our hair types, or personal tastes but i can't agree with you for most of the part of this list... like you are so gorgeous whyyyy we cannot agree girl one hair bob is soo boring for me. Okay it looks classy but makes my face disappear i have lot of hair and small face. Curtain bangs are same too, my face just disappear, looks lazy. Glasses make i nerdier or even more mediocore. Can agree on pixie and wolf cut only. Buzz cut is nice too and i loved how you painted on your head it looked fabulous. But idk, your wigs are lookinh better than a buzz cut. Buzz cut is a sharp style and you will get everyones attention not mainly because how beautiful you are, but how different you are. Not a ride for me, or, not for now. I also think it is try once a life (maybe) thing. I would place shaggy bob on this list, probably as 2nd best. 1st best would be a kind of below shoulder lenght hair in my list :)

I'd personally love some advice on what kind of haircuts/styles would fit to specific types of hair. As someone with rather long but fine hair, I for example struggle with having zero volume unless I put a ton of products in, which I'd like to avoid. And I'm pretty sure people with very voluminous hair have similar struggles on how to work with it. I know you've done similar ones to that before but a nice compilation would be great. ~

Try shorter hair. Like shoulder length. I have a big hairloss issue and I also have fine hair but a lot of it. So when it's long and not styled properly it looks very flat. Like a wet fluffy cat tail. Or a rat's tail. Now that I cut it from boob length to shoulder length my hair has a ton more volume and it looks like I have more. I don't know if this can help or if it works only for me. Also layers work great at adding volume.

I have similar problem and my advice is to never go for the wolf cut. Fine hair look much thinner with layers, it's going to be flat af and you will still have to use ton of products to make it look good. I'd recommend blunt cut as it creates illustration of thicker hair. Such hairstyles looks good even with flat hair. Personally I find face framing pieces (like curtain bangs) to be a beautiful way to add movement to fine hair without taking the much needed volume

I also would like suggestions for fine, thinning hair that is wavy and doesn't react well to styling products or heat. Straighteners and electronic curlers do nothing for me because they always end up doing the opposite of what they are supposed to do. I've tried curl creams, gels, hair spray, stylers. I just want my hair to not look so bad all the time.

I want to disagree with you that the shag doesn’t look good on medium length hair. I used to think that too, but I’ve see so many people styling medium and even short shags in so many different ways. I think it has to do with the layering. They have to be “perfectly” connected. I especially see this in thick curly hair. That weight is released. Hair can hold a style longer and it can move!! I agree that the classic a line Bob is my favorite haircut too. It is youthful no matter your age.

the pixie and the bob are my happiest hair experiences bar none. My husband likes it longer, so I alternate between growing it out and keeping it how I like it... It's as long as I've ever had it rn (mid back) and it is SUCH A PAIN to keep looking good. If I really go all out it can look amazing, obvs, and yes I *can* do all sorts of things with it, but day in day out it is inferior to those classic short cuts in every way. Aaaaaaargh. Hi Stella I loved this video, and for me the best hair cuts I've tried have to be, 5- the buzzcut ( the grow out was hard for me) , 4-pixie cut (I miss it) , 3-butterfly cut ( I have it rn), 2-long with face framing and a bit of layers(I haven't had in 5 years I kinda am aiming for it now), 1- one length bob /chin length bob (my go to because I love it at start and when it reaches shoulder length I love it and even when it gets longer) I do love those hairstyles alot and they can be a lead to each others (buzzcut -> pixie -> chin length - > butterfly - > long with layers) I actually didn't want the butterfly cut but I had to do it because I was growing out straight thick bangs but it became one of my favs :)

I have to say this. In the 5 worst video I defended the not one length bob, I had that haircut while I commented and I loved everything about it. But a week ago I went for the one length bob, N 1 here, and I absolutely hate it. I regret having done it so badly.... Reason? I have wavy hair and it just won't fit. My conclusion? If you have wavy or curly hair, go for layers. If you have straight hair, go for one length.

If I didn't have a *noticeable* flat spot on the upper back of my head, I would love to try the buzz cut.

It's surprising to see the buzzcut here just because growing it out is a constant stream of awkward phases, but it is a very freeing haircut indeed. On the other hand I had a blunt bob and it looked awful on me, my face just doesn't agree with blunt anything haha.

Hey Stella, one of my favorite colors, on you and I have mentioned before is the red hair color. I have always loved them on you. It for some reason just matches your skin-tone. Love your videos and can't wait to see more. 🤗❤️

Each time I see videos or else about haircuts, it assumes that everyone has toooons of hair on their head... I mean, I would love to do a wolf cut for instance, but like, I don't even have half the amount of hair the wig you showed us have 🥲 it would look terrible, i would be a scarecrow... So many haircuts/hairstyles require a phenomenal volume of hair, I just feel so bad all the time watching that 😭

@@giuliamaffia1556 That’s the beauty of the curtain bangs, you can begin long if you’re scared. Just start with face framing layers. Then as you gain courage, go higher. Stella has a great tutorial on her channel, so does Brad Mando. But you can go to a stylist if you really don’t trust yourself. Tell them to start long.

I love the one length bob and always try some other hair style and end up going back to the bob. I have thin, fine hair and it just works well for me. I love how this style is always in fashion and is easy to wear.

So inspiring! Now I have a plan: first grow out my hair long enough for a long wolf cut, then cut it to bob, then do a piexie and if i'am brave enough buzz cut at the end!

I felt in love with the butterfly hair cut. My hair was long (mid-back). In december, i told my hairdresser i wanted to try it. I am so happy. I still have my lengths so i can tie my hair into a ponytail. I think it's a versatile haircut. I like wearing them naturally curled.

I'm currently absolutely LOVING my pixie cut, it's one of the most easys haircut's there can be, you just wakeup, stile it with a bit on gel and it's done!! Previously I had the one length bob and yes, it's so classic and beautiful and it frames the face so beautiful, but still a lil more job than the pixie so I prefer the pixie hahahahaha and omg in summer it's so refreshing (here en Chile it's still summer)

Commenting on the wolf cut, I cut my own hair into a wolf cut and my hair just barely passes my shoulder by about 2 inches. It still looks super cute. MY hair looks super flat without all the lovely layers so I love it ((":

The one-length bob is such a cute short look, but it didn't work really well on me when I tried it :'^). I think it's because I have very fine and thin hair, so instead of looking voluminous, it just kinda stuck to my head and looked flat. But I feel tempted to try it again so often!

I wonder if a root perm would give you some lift. My sister had fine hair and had it done once; it did give her lift but she loved big hair and had no aversion to product, especially hair spray. She passed in 2018, so whenever I see big hair it makes me think of her.

I've tried the curtain bangs many times as I adore how they look on other people but as someone who has a widows peak it is, unfortunately, impossible for me to part the bangs equally and they just refuse to face outwards and always curl inwards towards my face.... Any advice?

Ok, so I ruined my hair a bit because someone told me wolf cut is made by putting your hair up on a ponytail... I'm still trying to grow my tops back :P And btw, you look way too stunning! Also could you experiment with "anime hair" those crazy layered, braided, spiky, and whatever hairs ones like Aurora singer's or other Japanese style? Can they fit at all to a person not having that much hair?
