The only changes I can see have been made to the Cybernetic Bondage nanosuit and the Holiday Rabbit nanosuit. People are speculating about Mountain Peony but it was not changed from the base game

I also remember everyone playing the game enjoying it, so that just confirms to me that Sony and the censors were watching and Sony told Shift Up to deliver a day one patch with the modesty panels to cover up Eve. That is exactly why I'm mad about the whole thing. They deliberately treated me like a clueless idiot. So my pre-ordered deluxe edition ended up being fully refunded. It's sad. But it's was the right path for me. Moreover, I always try to get back at anyone who tried to screw me over. One way or another, it will be a net positive for me, and a net negative for them. Oh. Man. 35+ costumes. 1 added an extra bit of fabric that makes sense from a design standpoint. 1 added a lacy bit (which you aren't going to see for 90% of the game). But yeah.. make a video. It's so odd how petty this censorship really is. I understand that many see it as a "not a big deal", but to me it's even worse that there's censorship when it's so very clearly not needed, because in my opinion it's a very slippery slope where, given permission for some external party to compromise dev creations on the pettiest of whim will only make things worse and wouldn't serve anyone. I don't understand what the big deal is with Sony censoring this M rated game, when you have games like The Last of Us 2, The Witcher series, God of War series, etc, showing complete nudity and sex scenes that are not censored. The Chinese dress at 03:45 was censored, in the crafting preview clip that shows you how to craft, it looks different. Also a lot of the outfits in 1.0 were censored too. Hopefully when it comes to PC we get the REAL version of the game. This was clearly done as revenge for gamergate 2.0 by some spiteful people at Sony. DOA Venus Vacation is on the PS4 and you get to see WAAAAY more skin in that game and it has pole dancing, its actually nothing but bikinis even after that game got censored too.

From what I've read, it seems that the blame for the patch isn't really Shift Up's fault, Sony itself is to blame for the patch and apparently did it to comply with company regulations. And I also read that you can avoid the patch if you buy the physical version of the game and turn off the wifi of the console when you go to play

It’s most likely do with the fact there’s no announced plans for DLC, meaning all the outfits are strictly speaking, a mandatory core part of the game. So Dev just say don’t buy the DLC if you don’t want the extra saucy stuff. It’s honestly a miracle that they got a whole game with no DLC no micro transactions and it’s in a playable state on day one so the project link leads certainly felt like crazy to get that, and they most likely had to make a few sacrifices to the producers with this being one of them.

If you are a fan of 70s horror movies like me and you love the movie The Vampire Lovers, you'll notice that (until 2006) there was an extremely awkward one-second edit during the infamous bath scene. if you own the physic copy you can beat the game censored unlock all the NG+ outfit 1.2 then downgraded to 1.0 to get the uncensored outfit with the save data not being affected.

@@binary1123 Because people are silly and think that any change they don't like is censorship, even when the facts say otherwise. I've even seen some ppl here claim that stockings of any kind are censorship even if they were present in the original outfit. Can't see full leg - censorship. Because that's what the devs wanted. This happens all the time in games and not just with the lewd stuff. Devs almost always alter some designs and other things in the games upon release. Take BG3 for example, character designs in early access were drastically different from designs upon release. Some characters like Karlach even got a full overhaul. Early access and beta's are that for a reason - all of the things you see in them are subject to change. As for the "why can't we pick", prolly cuz the alterations are too small for an alternate version of the outfit. All the other outfits that have options change the outfit significantly. And as to why it was changed - very likely it was either a stylistic choice(like with the bunny suit, it used to look like a swimsuit, but now it looks like a proper hoodie), or prolly due to the fact that the cleavage didn't always look good in every animation. Someone in the comments did mention that the original outfits were being weird in certain animations. If they REALLY wanted to censor the game, they'd do away with all the thongs and constant upskirt moments in the game, as well as the skin suit, which is textured in a way that makes the character look actually naked.

Its blatantly obvious with the blue/purple bikini they added on the blue bottom strips, and yellow strips are painted on too. None of it is part of the physical swimsuit model. The Chinese dress had no leggings originally. Even in the in game menu that shows a tutorial on how to craft nano suits its hilarious they missed that. We can see they missed censoring the bunny suit, and second round of censoring the cyber bondage suit for the disc. But id say a good 70% of these are all pre censored before the discs were printed. The original trailers are a great example of what was supposed to be in there. Damn shame. Its ok to show full frontal nudity in Baldur's Gate 3. Hypocrisy.

There are only two outfits affected. Holiday Rabbit (which is noticeable) and Cybernetic Bondage (which is barely noticeable). There's the Blue Monsoon (the purple and yellow bikini), but it's even less noticeable than the Cybernetic Bondage one, you have to squint to see it. Considering the change is so tiny and it doesn't hide anything, I don't consider it censorship. Seriously, out of 70 outfits, only a *few* were affected. I agree censorship sucks, I think what ShiftUp did by lying to us was horrible and I'm not sure I'll trust them in the future, but it's not the end of the world. People are acting like they censored half the outfits or something.

Yeah it kind of feels like the changes were so small that they could've just left it the way it was, but at the same time, the outcry made it seem like they got rid of all the outfits and added a nun outfit or shrank all body proportions down to be flat as a board. Some of the outfits are still very revealing, so I'm not really sure it warrants this much vitriol from so many people. If they changed every single outfit to have zero cleavage or something, then I could understand that.

@@MrNefratum Blue monsoon bikini was previously Brazilian cut and now they increased it to normal size bikini bottom. Pekony dress used to be stockings free and now they added stockings, the two costumes you already mentioned had the largest censors and yes, it is bad. Any type of censorship is bad, there's no justification for it and no censorship ever looks better than the original design, like never. They have also censored several outfits which we never got to see in game but you can glimpse at the original version of those outfits on the icon preview (there are at least about another 4 of those, you can look it up yourself) Finally and probably most importantly, they have dramatically reduced gore. You can tip-toe around the censorship all you like but you can't silence the dissatisfaction of your fanbase especially when you go out of your way TO PROMISE that the game will be uncensored in all regions including Japan... And then not only do the opposite but stay silent about it and only respond after you see that people realise what you did (censorship changes were not included in patch notes). That's false advertising. And yes he even apologised for his reply being inadequate (after damage control) and promised to discuss the issue further with his internal team. If you don't understand why censorship is a significant issue in all forms of media and what implications it has if it is allowed to go unchecked particularly in games, then perhaps you should better do some research first before you nonchalantly go around saying "minor changes to two costumes? What's the big deal" (which was incorrect to begin with)
