Stellar Blade - My Thoughts & impressions on the Nier Automata DLC and Free Update Is it good?

I personally think Emil was the better choice for this collab instead of 2B, 9S or A2. I won't say too much to avoid spoilers for Replicant and Automata but it made more sense to me thst he'd show up instead.

I disagree they totally could've added 2B and interact with Eve its called.....le GASP have 2B go to EVE'S world and not have her mention any plot elements from either Nier games its that simple and not that hard my guy there were ways they could've done it but they didn't for that I was disappointed. If spoilers was the main concern for Nier Automata and Replicant trust me there are ways to avoid that so still saying they should've had 2B show up and whatnot that would've justified the 10 dollar price tag for essentially more outfits and a few cosmetic item bundle but that's just me

@carloscorzo8935 I'm avoiding spoilers for Msensei's sake since he's going through Automata for the first time. As for adding 2B, that depends on whether you're willing to shell out more money because that would almost definitely make the collab cost more.

@@sebastianearick4488 This may be contradictory to what some people say and think of the DLC in general....but I'd rather the DLC cost more at the cost of actually adding relevant things to a DLC/collab then just a few outfits,cosmetic items,etc and call it a "DLC" imo. Also I'm aware he's playing Nier Automata right now still believe they can totally add in any other character from Nier and not have them mention anything plot related to their respective game just saying

@carloscorzo8935 I subscribe to the cdpr idea that paid content that adds anything substantial is more of an expansion and anything less is considered dlc. It also sounds like you have issues managing expectations. I expected Shift Up to just automatically hand me the Nier nanosuits which I'd find boring.

Plus adding 2B to Stellar Blade they can make up a new storyline to connect why she'd even be in the world of Stellar Blade whatever happened to "creative freedom" when it came to video game storytelling? Sounding like contradictory there could be wrong :P Also funny you bring up "issues managing expectations" when that is literally EVERYONE nowadays and if you know ANYTHING of Nikke Goddess of Victory (the other game Shift Up are known more for by comparison) you'd understand why to me them not really doing anything with Nier for this collab was such a letdown considering the LENGTHS which they handled Nier collab for THAT game (which was way better I would argue cuz it actually added more) but whatever

That's what I'm saying for others 10 dollars for what we got in the DLC isn't a big deal but to me it doesn't justify it what they did with the DLC new outfits,features but all that was FREE but they do the samething for a Nier collab but charge money for it? For that might as well made it free like every update that came before just saying. LOve the new outfits but I would've loved a short 1hour chapter with 2B and Eve meeting,kicking ass,etc that would've warranted the 10 dollar price tag imo but agree to disagree.

Did you just refer to A2 as a 'secondary suit'? 😲 I will assume you are now much further into Automata than when this vid dropped. As far as the patch and DLC goes, I don't mind earning the nano suits, be it the free update or Nier collab. I do mind having to look for fish or cats or butterflies to take selfies or collect cans to get those outifts. I do like the selfie mode more than the photo mode just because it's literally Eve going around and taking selfies. And when you have Lily or Adam in the frame, it's even funnier seeing as they will suddenly pose for you. It has otherwise been a long time playing Stellar Blade. Having gotten used to just dodging in Wukong, I actually forgot I could parry in this game. 😅

😅😅fammm forgive me immmmmm stilll in the opening hours first run am in the kitchen right now running through nier I promise you I will educate myself 😂 Facts I clean forgot to block after playing black myth and metaphor too long 😅 The grinding for butterfly selfies was a lot on me as well. I wish they did it differently but at least they tried with a quest line instead of load up the game nano suits everywhere to get em type of energy lol. But nier is really taking a twist right now. I gotta get through this game a couple of times the story is going crazy 😅

Only thing that sucks is I have to beat the game for the 5th time because Xion isn’t open anymore, so the one bulletin board I can accept quests at isn’t open. The one in the wasteland isn’t available to take quests.

Started a brand new run, and it was cool to get some Nier outfits early. Who else agrees? Rejecting Adam is actually the good ending. Adam is a villain.

Spoilers Ahead.... Well yeah, he was the source of all the problems and kept creating more problems to fix the previous problems. Then he manipulated EVE throughout the entire story. Mother Sphere isn't very nice either but he was responsible for her too. Seems like the only innocent people Eve met were some of the shopkeepers in Xion and Lily. Always hate doing the ending where Lily dies.

Honestly I hate that they called it a DLC. It should be called a cosmetic pack because that's all there is. Look I love the game and I happily bought it and would have regardless, but this isn't a DLC. I really hope we get an actual DLC with some content for this game. That's part of why I bought it is to show there is still interest and I would happily fork out money for more content. Honestly a new open map would be great. Snowy mountain region or something. I'd drop $20 on that easy.

I'm gonna bring up another point I find funny someone in the comments mentioned its not Shift Up's decision and is Square Enix's on what they could or couldn't add to the Nier collab for Stellar Blade.....yet that didn't stop Shift Up from going above and beyond for the Nier collab they did in Nikke even going as far as ADDING 2B AS A PLAYABLE CHARACTER. If the decision TRULY were up to Square what they could add don't you think they wouldn't have went nuts with the Nier collab they did for Nikke then if that were the case? So to me its just overall Shift Up for whatever,some odd reason chose to be more cautious in general when they made Stellar Blade compared to Nikke which they went all over the place for that game in terms of world building,storytelling,etc which is a shame and imo what hurt Stellar Blade from being a great game it COULD'VE been.

I'm not gonna lie my Expectation was very high for this dlc The only thing that Disappoint me is that they could've re skin eve blade into 2B blade and re skin the boss with a nier automata boss that's in the Wastelandand also you fight him in the beginning with tachy of game I forgot his name I think his name is Bohemith It's the fat boss with the wrecking balls as hands Also a new area should have been added to explore

@ to be specific. Nier replicant version 1.2. Nier replicant was the original game released in Japan in the 2000. And nier gestalt was a western version of the game because they believe the western would hate the story of a small young boy trying to protect his sister. So they re-change the entire story and stuff so me this big strong muscular dad protecting his. Because they understand that Westerners are that way now they let the creator have his original story of a brother protecting his sister in version 1.2

Love all the new stuff. Having a scavenger hunt to obtain everything was a bit painful though. So next update to look forward to is the Nikke collab! Having Eve in Nikke is gonna be so cool and I wonder who’s outfit from Nikke they’ll give to Eve. Nikke handles collabs nicely where it uses a plot device called the Gatekeeper; an entity that dreams of random things throughout time and sometimes manifests them into the world as temporary physical beings. By the end of the event the Gatekeeper would be defeated and the beings he manifested would disappear with it thinking they’re returning to their world but just disappearing. It’s a clever way to write a story for a character without tying it to its universe.

Terrrible playstation. I purchased the DLC and have got all the outfits and completed all photo quests. BUT i was completly suprised as it does not say you have to have a internet connection to play in the NeiR suits. I had no internet for awhile played stellar but not able to use neiR's 2B suits. No way of getting refund as your trapped the second you download the content. I am extremely annoyed. Its not a great deal of money but feel been conned. If I buy a DLC it should be on my P station not on their servers. This aint over.
