This one looks identical to the Tascam TM-80, down to the shockmount details, I've been able to find a photo of its guts and the inside just look the same to me

Thats interesting. Wonder who is the design/manufacturer then? Of course there are tons of manufacturers over seas that just license models out. Be interesting to see a side by side though.

Definitely better. Hard to want to mod stuff with mics like the BaiFeiLi's of the world out there.

Yeah, true. Sometimes is just fun to build something, even if you don't need it. Trying to figure out if I should start selling a bunch of these or keep em for future reference. I think if any of these were like REALLY good at something, it would make that decision a lot easier.

why not to directly buy the same body in better quality for around 10 $ on ali ???

You probably could. As long as the size is the same should work. Youre essentially replacing EVERYTHING in the mic.

@@meistudiony yes that s why i said it would be cheaper to buy a better body on ALi and there would be no electronics to throw away , no waste , less transport , and more ecological , all come from China anyway
