I'm super excited! As soon as it was available, I bought the Seasons Pack. I've been playing Stellaris on and off for 6 years or more now, and always in long, intense sessions. It looks somewhat interesting, I see that not all described effects are applied yet (description saying that crime cannot thrive in tightly controled spaces but there being no modifier on crime). All in all, those things look like they are going to majorly throw balance of power off the rails whenever they appear, or before empires are ready, at least.

It’s nice that some storms have benefits, but there almost seems to many benefits. And with technologies, events, galcom decisions are more, those benefits are probably just going to increase. Having storms be negative, with the tangible benefit that they might protect your border from invasion, seems the most fun to me.

Nah I hope they don’t screw it up massively in terms of balancing. If you catch the text at 0:49, you’ll see a bonus of “cosmic storm resistant production output” modifier, and that has me worried that paradox intends these storms to be probably generated and just be able to be spawned in with the new origin and technology they’re developing, because if you can just spawn a cosmic storm into an empires core sectors that empire is totally fucked. If my fears are confirmed, it’s joever for tall empires

This is cool All but two things people want in the dlc are a rework to planetary invasions that are more interactive and controllable. And make it so you can build minor settlements on uninhabited worlds. This is a good idea tho. Also a dlc for flotillas of ships that dont settle planets kinda like the quarian in mass effect
