I love the diversity of this game. We are at about the same place in time, yet I have only 700 pops on 10 planets. These 10 planets though are located within 4 hyperlanes of each other meaning my empire sprawl is still below 200. Despite your massive population advantage we have basically the same output of resources. What an amazing game this is!

I thought the crisis factions were broken. I didn't know they were capable of expanding this aggressively in modern Stellaris.

Taking the Ether Drake system also gives you the Tier VI armor eventually, but it can take up to 50 years. (eta: have to mine the planet)

Well thats gonna be quite an expense. In the past the game really slowed down to the point it was unplayable on my average specs 4y/o laptop. Currently it works fine. There's a lot of dlc to buy though if you want the full game

Rudolf van Wijk on that subject, laptops are generally more expensive than desktops, and far less powerful, so if portability isn’t a concern, you should opt for a desktop. Prebuilt if possible.

Awakened Empires i swear dont have proper AI when dealing with crisis fleets. Normal empires generally wont send fleets that drastically weaker than your own right into you, but i see awakened empires do that all the dang time to crisis fleets for some reason.

damn you are the anchor of the galaxy and you will be able to attack the scourge soon. I am wondering though, are Habitats a necessity for the Lithoids to survive? I really had a major problem with minerals in a Lithoid play through

I will say that habitats are really really good for Lithoids and perhaps one of the go-to ascension perks, but honestly I didn't find them necessary in test runs I've done without it as I found without needing farm districts all of the mineral districts that replaced them made up for it, just about. The very end game however all empires struggle for minerals once upgraded buildings become the norm and at that point the Lithoids really do start to hurt, so It's hard to say, but I would still say they are not necessary but are VERY good, unless you rush megastructures and a matter decompressor!

@@Lathland Well I will certainly try the habitats in my next run, however I've rarely struggled as hard with minerals as with the lithoids. I do think though that a properly run Machine empire will not struggle mid to late game with minerals, machine worlds are just so op

My fleet was completely usless last night. I went to war with a fallen empire and there main fleet started attack my ally and I need to het to them anf help. But my fleet had other plans. They kept attacking the mining stations and we won but I missed out on alot of technology because of my fleet.

this is the first time that you have had to settle in for the long run with the crisis I watched another series facing the scourge and the scourge gathered their fleets up and busted through So be on guard

also even though you have a federation fleet with fallen Empire tech The machine fallen empire is right near your border

At 3:15 the ether drake isnt destroyed when you expected because the damage is applied at the moment the shot is fired and not at the moment the shot hits i believe

After double checking, this is because I turned it off from being the default after a lot of weird moments earlier in the series - Should have turned it back on honestly but it doesn't tend to make much of a difference generally unless at war, even if you are in a federation, so the AI would have likely ignored it as they don't like following unless in a war state which the crisis doesn't count as (At least In my experience, could be wrong!) Still a mistake, but a minor one that I just wasn't thinking about!
