【Stellatsu】Me and the sky - Come From Away

There are some things you can only say in your mother tongue, and I will never know how to express my love for "Come from away" in english.
I went to see the play in London in april 2019. I didn't even know what it was about.
I guess I started crying 5 minutes after it began.
I cried so much.
And even if it's been more than one year, I still cry when I listen to the cast album.
For those who don't know, Come from away is a musical about what happened on September 11, 2001. After the twin towers were attacked, the US airspace was closed, and several planes flying towards America had to stop "somewhere". Somewhere in the middle of nowhere, on the northeast tip of North America, on the edge of the world... where the river meets the sea.
And there, 9000 people welcomed 7000 strangers who couldn't go back home. Housed and fed them for five days.
Captain Beverley Bass was one of these "come from aways", and this song tells her story. It's so inspiring. What a woman she is.
I can't stop crying writing these lines. I think Come from away is my favorite musical - and I've seen a lot. But it's so special, and you can't know til you see it. They're 12 on stage, and are playing like, 2, 3, 4 characters each. And it's 1h30 or 2 hours long, without any interval, so you're not "pulled away" from the show (does that even make sense?)
You have no time to rest. No time to breathe. No time to grieve.
As Newfoundlanders didn't have any time for themselves during these 5 days.
"I'll stop talking now".
I hope I'll be able to see the show again.
Sorry, it's far from being perfect. I started working on that song some days ago and to be honest it's the hardest song I've ever worked on...
But I really wanted to post this cover today.
