STENA NORDICA pet friendly cabin Rosslare to Fishguard

Being allowed on other outside decks is awesome! On the Stena Vision from Cherbourg to Rosslare, we only had a small deck at the back of the pet cabin corridors and there were signs on the stairs that dogs weren't allowed anywhere else. My dog refused to pee for over 20 hours because the deck at the back was so noisy and windy and there was nothing for dogs that are used to a patch of grass or anything similar. A lot of other dog owners said the same thing :/

Love Stena Nordica, Showers are handy for people who may have long journeys ahead. I usually get the 12am ferry to rosslare and after that we have another 4 hour journey, its good to have one in the morning than go without one for 12+hours (we have 4hours in england, 4 hours on ferry, 4 hours in ireland).

Hi, we're sailing on Stena Nordica in a couple of weeks. Fishguard to Rosslare. We have booked a dog cabin but understood they had to remain in there for the journey. Good to see your dogs up on the deck.

Nobody said anything to us about staying in the cabin. We spent most of the time outside on this deck and crew even walked by us and said nothing. Hope you have a pleasant journey!

@thedailycavalier Thanks, I have sent them a message and they said the rule is no dogs, but to ask when we board! Seems odd to me but I hope we get to go up on deck with our dogs so will keep my fingers crossed.

I reckon it depends on the staff on the day - we tried to bring our dog out from the cabin to the deck on that route (the older boat though) and got a lecture from one of the staff members! But I'm sure others would be a lot more easy going.

Hello, thanks for the great video! We want to get the Nordica to Fishguard at Christmas time. We left it late to organise so all the pet cabins are booked out. Just wondered if anyone had worked out where the pet kennels are (I saw in the video they have moved)? We don't want to have to leave our dog in the kennels if they're on the car deck

So I contacted Stena and they have informed me that the kennels on the Nordica are on the car deck. Visits can be arranged provided the sea conditions are safe.

Thanks for much for looking into this! Good to know, means we need to be more organised in future as our gal wouldn't speak to us if we left her in the kennels 😂
