yes it's a composition notebook from the dollar store I cover the pages with gesso. I call it my nothing journal. Creating in it there's no pressure. I haven't spent a lot of money therefore I'm not afraid to try anything!

So many ideas to re-invent some of our basic stencils! I tried stencils on tissue as in one of your videos and found that good quality glue sticks work well for glueing - and torn tissue edges blend well. Thanks for all the ideas!

you use your stencil like a stamp. I do it all through the video. I paint the stencil and then stamp it paint side down.

Thank you so much for these tips!!!! I have really been frustrated with my stencilling attempts, and I believe that these tips are the solution to the problems I have been having. Also, can you tell me what the blue cloth is that you are using for dabbing and lifting paint? It seems to work so well; I would like to try it myself.

Love your stencils, but they are prohibitively expensive to order if you are not in the US. Shipping ends up being more than the value of the stencils.

Yeah, I wish there was a cheaper way. But that's the cost for us.
