If you followed the last few videos you are now in a great position to release the club which increases clubhead speed and squares the face without you having to manipulate the club. Your wrists will still be cocked at this point with the right elbow tucked into your right side and arms connected which is really going to help your hips rotate out of the way before you propel the club through.
As Chris Ryan talks about in his video I recommended here • THE SECRET TO CREATING... we need the club to kick out towards the ball unhinging the wrists at the right time. To do this we need to pull on the grip end of the club not push it, you can see this when Chris demonstrates moving the club on the ground efficiently, also watch how his hand slows down to make the club kick out and connect with the ball, this is just like the arms decelerating which I talk about in the video and show the grip speed using Gears 3d motion capture.
Your left side also needs to extend up as you pull up on the grip of the club. When you watch good players closely look at their left knee as they come into the downswing and impact area because it will go from been flexed to straight, this really helps the hips clear out of the way combined with keeping the arms connected and close to your body like how an ice skater spins quicker when the arms are tucked closer to their body. Its free hip speed if you do it correctly which I can help you with in my explanations in this video steps series.
The biggest fault on the release I see is if you push on the grip instead of pulling. Pushing means you keep accelerating the grip to long so this decellerates the clubhead and prevents the correct natural unfolding release of the wrists. A decelerating club head means you have to make up for lost speed by forcing the club through with the arms and it is also the biggest cause of the chipping yips if you struggle with that.
Practice the Stopper drills I demonstrate in the video and alternate between the swing trainer and your normal 7 iron, 3 shots with each and the result you are looking for is a straight flight and good solid strike. If that is not the case do the checks starting with the setup, then takeaway, backswing, transition and release in this video series. If you strike the ball better with my stopper drills which I am confident you will just go and play golf that way..! you don't actually need to fully follow through just look at Tommy Fleetwood :-) stuart

Thanks much. I'm somewhat new to golf and this video series are very helpful for two reasons. 1.) My head is full of a dozen steps of WHAT to do, but without full context, it's just an awkward series of steps. So now I can better see the WHY behind the WHAT. And these tips are great for general swing understanding....regardless of if you are using the GForce or not. The analysis of Rory's swing is fantastic. 2.) I like how you are promoting the GForce (obviously) but in a well-reasoned way without being over the top and making outrageous promises. It's a training tool, not a miracle. That earns my respect.

thanks Jamie, appreciate your feedback and kind words...thats the problem having your head full of dozens of steps so I broke everything down to a few simple steps with 3d to back me up..I am doing the 80/20 rule for golf (Pareto Principle) you only need to focus on 20% of the important stuff to get 80% of the results...no need for 100's of videos, just a small selection of the important ones that I am working on bringing to you over the next few months...stuart :-)

Yes ... in the release the target side "extends". Another way to describe it is "posting up" - forceful vertical pressure generated from pushing (let's call it pushing down into the ground) - especially with the lead leg. Club going down, body going up results in a "cracking of the whip". The physics of it transfers a lot of energy to the club head. The club head is whipped thru impact and squares up while delivering a desirable angle of attack and loft, without other manipulation if timed and sequenced correctly. Just another way of looking at what you are talking about.

spot on Will, my next video is on about the release point using Gears 3D to show how to best use the vertical force and the 2 things that need to be in place to maximise it, because you cant do it properly otherwise. This is only possible to see what is going on in 3D because the system I have invested in is the most accurate one, with plenty of tour players on there using this vertical force to their advantage to release the club effectively and efficiently :-)

@15:34 I think so much of why we get the release wrong is the terminology used. in the video you say uncock, but it's really unhinging or specifically L wrist going from flexion to extension / R wrist extension to flexion. uncock is mostly used for ulnar deviation. Happy how you broke the release down and showed it in different sections (from p6) and how face squares up not from rotating the shaft around itself, validates what I've found to help my swing. Alot of us get confused with the release because of position post impact where shaft is parallel to the ground or further when vertical (L shape) - thinking it's from really pronating the forearms around (to square the face) but it's not. Forearms don't pronate much or at all independently, it's just a visual illusion as they swing around the hub. cant wait to get my hands on this club, wish there was something for ladies / kids.

I have a lot of ladies using it and LPGA tour players such as Minjee Lee at 5ft 4 and Hanna Green 5ft 7... Gripping down on the grip works absolutely fine for ladies / juniors. Unlike other brands on the market which are very heavy and not comparable to a normal golf club, I made mine standard weight so they are the lightest and fastest hittable swing trainers in the world :-) Dont settle for anything heavier than a GForce Swing Trainer :-) thanks for your comments and input on the video, stuart

Very good. It seems this will also extend your arms. Something we all want to do
@gforcegolf
@gforcegolf 2 жыл бұрын
yes the extension of the arms is not a position we try and get into, but instead a reaction from the swing and the sling shot effect, thanks

Limited to the players that I have on this system as they have to get hooked up with the body sensors, would have been great to see Snead. Used Mcllroy because everybody knows who he is, even none golfers which I am trying to get interested in playing. He is also 10 mph faster swing speed than tour average, same height as me at 5ft 9 inches which is impressive speed from good swing mechanics. As you found in my #1 Drill video definitely not promoting any wrist roll as that is manipulative move. :-)

Are you consciously acting on the hands and arms to slow them down or is another part of your swing causing them to slow down? Is this like when you crack a whip or towel? You accelerate the hand in one direction then suddenly change direction and the whip/towel accelerates through and cracks at the end. When you showed the hand path it looked like the upward motion of the hands didn’t start until just after ball contact.
@gforcegolf
@gforcegolf 4 жыл бұрын
the towel analogy is a great one Stephen and your are 100% right..! and yes well spotted the upward motion is after impact because at impact the shaft is leaning forward slightly with irons so the left arm and shaft have not aligned in a straight line but when the do just after impact that is when the upward pulling motion is more obvious in the video. Its works like a flail or similar to those training aids with a hinge on the shaft work exactly the same way as a flail. I used to demonstrate to students breaking the shaft on the takeaway and backswing which i bet every tour player would do the same with their swing but then hitting it sweet when i get it to line up on the ball pulling it through. Just shows how much more important the downswing sequence needs to be vs the backsing, especially looking at players steep backswings like Furyk, Wolf and then Matt Kuchar who is the opposite and swings flat. As for the slowing of the hands i did a blog recently about this subject and quoted some findings by www.tutelman.com/golf/swing/golfSwingPhysics2.php everybody need to see this..! they have some cool science about the Double-Pendulum Swing in a simple easy to understand language which i like and they also have the real math that i don't understand so they are really good at breaking the complicated science down, so check them out and have a look at my blog to get some ideas and feel free to ask more questions :-) stuart www.gforcegolf.com/blogs/how-to-maintain-and-increase-lag-in-your-shots/how-to-get-more-lag-in-your-shot-why-the-traditional-way-to-build-lag-wont-work-fake-lag-heres-why

I'm having issues when I go back to my normal clubs after doing your training and using my GForce club. I'm hitting drastic pulls and hooks. What is the reasoning and what should I be doing to prevent this? I want to develop better rhythm but not at the expense of my shot shape.

Rambo, all the recourses you need are in this link which is a list of all the most common questions that I have been asked by customers over the past 5 years, which includes your question… www.gforcegolf.com/pages/q-a Most players will hit shots to the right to begin with, so then you start to compensate, by over rotating you hands to square the face which is wrong... When using the swing trainer and switching back, the GFORCE is highlighting issues in your Release and Sequencing which is why you hit big pull hooks... You need to do the following... 1) you need to make sure your weight has shifted to your left side before transitioning into the downswing. See transition video Step 4… 2) You need to learn to unload the shaft to square the face, this is down to correct Release & Sequencing. See video link below… 3) Work on the stopper drills I talk about to help with the Unloading, Release and Sequencing. In the same video below… 4) Don’t roll your hands to square the face, this is manipulation/compensation which is common for most golfers and uncommon for good players & tour players, because they swing efficiently which is what the swing trainers can help you achieve in time with practice… kzbin.info/www/bejne/hJjVipaYpdR4icU This is the best video to understand how to properly unload the shaft to square the face so when you switch back to your normal 7 iron you can achieve the same ball flight... The key in training is to hit a few balls with each club and keep switching clubs, this allows you to transfer the feeling from club to club, which is the end goal… This video is also talking to you directly about the shots you are experiencing, what to do and not what to do... Do some work on this and get back to me on your progress to see if you can make the switch, it just takes a bit of work to change habits, let me know if you have nay questions or need some more help on this, 😊 stuart

Also this one which I found really useful. Keep both feet firmly planted until you strike the golf ball, it helps to keep your hips centred preventing them from thrusting towards the ball "Early Extension" - which will also make your hips tuen much easier through the ball and give you room to bring the club through, you must also feel like you are lowering / squatting when you bring the club down, thanks kzbin.info/www/bejne/sH28XmSkgLaYndk
