Yes, I just got a very similar Char Broil "4 burner grill with side burner without cabinet" at Menards yesterday but the factory seems to have made a mistake and included the instruction manuals for the version without the side burner and I had no instructions how to set it up. I did figure it out, but checked this video out and do find out that that one strange clip I still have left in the package also needs to go on the bottom. Seeing that was the most "rewatched" point in the video I suspect a lot of people got that manual. About to go buy a tank of gas and hopefully the thing works.

Did Charbroil include the wrong manual with your grill too? Mine came with the instructions for the one without the side burner but my grill very definitely has a side burner.

I always assemble my own grills because I trust my abilities but Lowes had them all assembled and it was kinda nice to not have to mess with it for once. Between ikea type furniture lately, grills and I have to do my sons bike for xmas i wasnt complaining. I got this for $112 at my local lowes today, what a steal. I wiped the inside and grate with canola and did my seasoning so shes ready for her first cook. After repairing burner covers and making brackets for the burners that were broken from a rusted out body on my 8 year old 3 burner it was on its last leg. Also I could smell excess gas when usin the side burner and the ignition burner and i felt it's time to get a new one.

Did your BBQ have issues getting up to temperature? I have the same BBQ for 3 years, and it's never been able to get up to 500 degrees pre heat heat. I wonder if it's a bad pressure regulator from the factory.

How does the grill cook? When cooking steaks is the cooking uneven? Does it flare up too?

It cooks the steak great... I found by turning all of the 5 burners helped a lot (even without anything on top of it). The purpose of that is to keep the temp inside (keeping the lid closed). I know and respect how people grill or bbq. I have my way... with a clean grill to start with, I fire up all 5 burners and closing the lid afterwards... heat it up above 400... then place my steak or meat and closing the lid ASAP to prevent heat from coming out. Grill it 2-3 min each side... then with the lid partially closed... I flare it up by flipping the steak hard to let the grease flare it up... the flare up will crisp my steak. Then I turn the two burners directly under the steaks but leaving the other 3 for 1-2 more min. What I get is a medium steak... yes it flares up... when I toss / flip the steak hard. Unfortunately, no... no you can not connect this model as is. You can modify all the fittings on this grill if you really want to... but, I say just get a natural gas model vs converting one. Thank you very much for watching and for the question.

Is it the one attached to a mini chain? To the right of what I was working with? If it is... that is used to manually light the grill with a match. It is a match holder. You squeeze in a match between the metal loop. Then light the match. Insert it through a hole towards the burner. Turn on the gas slowly...

Did you press slightly down... then turn? Next, I would disassemble it. See if will turn while it is not connected to the grill. Put it back and try again... it may have been defective already.

I bought this as my first propane grill. It's been a fun, learning experience kzbin.infoUgkxCx5fHawkK9OoV-ojFrY8JLnZrFwAmvUt . I think it's a bit too pricey after looking at other grills, but it wasn't hard to put together and it works really well. I love the side burner option for heating food during a power outage. I have an electric stove and live in the South (Hurricane season), so this was a bonus. I also bought a cover for it and it has protected it nicely (the Char Broil All-Season Grill Cover 3-4 Burner: Large). Every few grill sessions, I take the rack (or grate) and burner covers off and clean them with a non-abrasive scrubby and mild soap. I wipe the excess off of the bottom as well, taking care to avoid the gas and pilot lines.

Third one I have watched, and NO ONE addresses how to mount the tank onto the frame using the part#9 and the balancing of the tank on the grill frame. I can screw the regulator onto the tank, but the hose is not long enough to reach the tank with the tank sitting on the ground. What do I do, just balance the tank on a brick? How safe is that? FINISH THE JOB; FINISH YOUR VIDEO.

What are you talking about? With the tank in the hole in the bottom shelf, the hose and valve should reach the tank easily. Make sure you put the top of the grill on correctly so the tank hole is on your left when you face the grill from the front. I got mine 2nd hand without instructions and mistakenly had it reversed and the hose would not reach. Once I detached and spun it around it fit easily.

It took 1 to 1.5 hours to put together. Lowe’s (I think) offers free assembly on their store if you do not want to do it... the problem for us was - fully assembled wouldn’t fit in our car. If you have truck... you are good to take advantage of it
