I’m fascinated by this stuff it’s really nice that’s it’s being repurposed as jewelry keychain, etc., instead of sitting in a landfill contaminating the ground. It’s beautiful .

I do all my fordite by hand. My cutting hack saw sending Palm sander and the polishing and further sanding. I do all by hand as well. Is there any info you could give me on bringing out a shine with them by hand. I get some really good piece's and I experiment allot. So please any info would be awesome. Thank you also give a dryer sheet a try with doing the last hand polish on your cabs. Pretty interesting result. Thanks

Thanks I've been experimenting with Fordite and have learned a bunch from your presentation. My question is what do I buff the car polish with?

Turtle wax? But seriously I know nothing about anything, but it kind of makes sense.

Do you use water when you polish or just the diamond on a dry pad?

WOW that is gorgeous!! What does one do with it now. Make it into a pendant... necklace?

Wow, I know these saws are not as dangerous as a wood saw, but you ought to be using a push stick anyway. Aren't you afraid of grinding your fingers up? Why don't you use dop sticks on those blanks before you grind? It makes it a heck of a lot easier to handle too.

Hmm..we've owned a collision shop for many years. Our stands that hold fenders, bumbers and the like into our heated paint booth. Have collected thick chunks of paint through the years. If I take and Cab these. I really dont think I can call this true fordite. What in the world would it identify as?

Saw your video on I.D. ing Fordite. So it wouldnt be of ideal quality, but I may try it anyway. If it works it would make amazing gift pieces for members of our family own business.

Cool Dirt hammer some off. If it has cool bright colours, it might be as nice as fordite. Send pix!

I was hoping to see each step including the polishing. I will keep looking for a video that is actually complete with each step shown. Thanks for showing most of it and the tips.

If you need any help with the cutting let me know and I'll try to help you out, dear :) As for polishing it's a process that I developed over a long time and I don't typically share my specific method but you could use a normal cab machine up to 8k than a car polish on a canvas lap or got to 600 to 1200 and switch to a buffer as well depending on what kinda finish you trying to achieve. :)
