Turns out gree has some crappy (maybe in-house) Wifi protocol implementation, which doesnt like the new version of my router's firmware that was applied by the ISP. All other devices manage to connect to it... Anyway, solution is to tweak with the router Wifi settings, or better, setting up a seperate Wifi network for the ACs with a different (possibly older) router.

Me too, it's crap....this is the second unit I have purchased and both times, FAILED. I'm so pissed off...this is ridiculous to spend all this money and there's no fnnnnn support for this. The AC itself works great but they fail miserably in the WIFI technology department. What a joke!

Have you tried a different Wifi hotspot device? It was able to connect even to my Android mobile hotspot. Then I ended up connecting an old, cheap wifi router (that was compatible) to my main router, set up a seperate wifi network for gree, and associated the ACs with it. After all this I was even able to set the network to hidden, so it doesnt show up in wifi searches.

I resolved this issue by usign and older Galaxy phone. If you add the device to your GREE+ account you can then log on the same account on your main smartphone. I also was able to connect it to google home and now it can be control via voice, but it seems that the invite member functionality of the GREE+ app is not working(no email received by the invited member)

the app flush all your register unit after few week and you have to re register it to the app :( this happen 3 time in the past 4 month ). Other big thing, do not lose you password.... because the app told you how to reset it but never send the notification has it told you , so you never receive it and never able to login in to your account. a other thing, in that app, it have possibility to send comment to the creator of the app.. but dont think they will answers you ... no respond from them in the last 4 month... last thing for now, if you turn it ON with the app. then create a schedule, it work until you toutch the remote bouton, then all, the schedule you programed will be turn dessable, that's a problem... not realy happy.

Press the away button then choose your AC name then save If you do that when out press home to turn it on and away to turn it off

This app drains battery on Android so quickly even when not in active use. This makes it practicaly useless.

I have now purchased 3 units....none of them work with WIFI including a new VIREO that says WIFI included on the side of the unit...GREE< what the hell is going on with this thing???? I have the best modem known to man and the best iPhone available. This should be brainless and easy and it's not. How come you haven't developed this to work with a NEST system yet? I honestly wish I would have bought a Daikin which seems to perfectly and easily with WIFI.

I managed to connect AC to home Wifi, but after couple of minutes/hours, the device goes offline... I have option to do firmware wifi update through shitty gree + app, but getting error "Firmware update failed" :D
