I can see that Dr. Gary Lewin has been playing a pivotal role in the recovery of Miedema and Mead, as well as Laura and Leah, who are currently undergoing ACL rehab. I believe Gary Lewin's insight not only towards injury but as a whole in the viewpoint of women's sports improvement will shine a light on the development of women's sports in many ways as time goes by. Regarding the ACL issue, my question is, what is it about this individual ligament that breaks down in all these girls? All the other factors are the same: schedule, overload, the female body, etc. So why isn't the MCL going out? Or the LCL? Or any of the other 200 ligaments, tendons, muscles, joints, etc. in the lower body? What is it about this one ligament, that keeps giving out? I would start there.
